Lucy was enjoying being in this large box when her older sister, Hannah (in the foreground), decided to check things out. I had the impression that Lucy preferred having the box to herself and was waiting for Hannah to leave (which she did).

Since a week we've two new lively roommates - Garfield (on the right) & Lothar, 6 years old, from the local shelter.
Together they are a real dream team! So cuddly and kind they already stormed our hearts!
I'm looking forward to an exciting and joyful time with the two "rascals" !!
Have a nice and sunny weekend!
A box and two cats - fun times!
This is not as polished or multidimensional as my previous cat collage (www.flickr.com/photos/kaisaq/6337349086/), but I think this too reveals the superior intelligence the cats of the world possess... ;) What do you think?

Although Kaiser never sits on my lap this days, he is not that keen on others doing it. Pixie was lying on her back on my lap and I was just about to take a photo of her with her legs up in the air when Kaiser decided he wasn't having any of it and the paw fight began. Talk about handbags at dawn - lol
This time last week I was in hospital so I am hoping for a less traumatic time this weekend . Nothing is planned and the forecast is its usual wet and grey self so we will see how it goes.
Happy Furry Friday
Wishing you all a healthy and carefree weekend
Week 28 | Portrait of a Friend
These two boys (Romeo-left, King Kieran-right) have been my little entourage during the pandemic and much of their 15 years. The are my muses (maybe better... mewses) for all the reasons why I began my journey into photography. To capture them closely together was incredibly challenging since 1) social distancing comes with ease for them as a preference to one another and 2) I'm still trying to determine which aperture setting works best to keep both in focus while keeping the background soft and less distracting.
There are morning people and definitely NOT morning people. Looks like it's the same with cats.
This was the scene, beside my computer (well, on top of my printer actually), early this morning. Tessa just wanted to hide and sleep longer while the pest was keen to start the day. Pest Sole spent time searching the world outside our window hoping to see something interesting.
Sure Tessa and Sole provide companionship for each other (a.k.a. Sole shadows Tessa at all times) but, today, I was thinking more about companionship for ME.
When I've been out and about, during the day, they also stick to ME like glue when I get home. This shot was taken last night, in the wee hours, after I'd had a busy day.
They are hunting a feather toy on a string. They are not seing where they are going. They jump straight out in the air not thinking about where to land. They don't seem to hurt themselfes. They can go on for hours. Their mother have left them for good, she's fed up.
Thank you so much for viewing my photography, "faveing" my photos, "following" me and your comments. It is very much appreciated.

Some photos from a couple of weeks back. One of the last days with all three of the kittens still at home.
I'm not sure that the shadow of my arm on the wall contributes in a good way.
Cleo on the left is about a year and nine months old. Buddy on the right is about six and half years old. I decided to bring Cleo into our home because I hoped she would keep Buddy company and it worked!
...can the cross bar to a wooden bench be? These guys probably learnd something fundamental about the spatial organisation of the word, judging by the amount of time they spent exploring this puzzling device.

I'm exploring the extraction tools in my new PSCC. The're better of course, but it still takes some hand-on to get a good result.
Now I'm going to do a little tutorial about this picture.
This is pretty much an accident!
The original idea was to take a picture of me holding three cats at once... didn't work out that well as you can see ;)
However I started playing around, I grabbed a PocketWizard and one of my SB-800s.
The final setup for this shot is the SB-800 pointing directly into the wall behind the cats at 1/64th.
The camera was set to 1/40th and f/2.8.
The WB is tungsten, but I didn't use a gel so that's where the blue touch comes from.
