Playing around with this sketch tutorial. ClaraDon turned me onto a twist. In the last step, instead of Gaussian blur, choose filter, other, minimum with a radius of 1 or 2. OK, following so far? Here is my twist.......create an image with Don's twist and then make one following the tutorial. Put the "tutorial version" on top in the layer palette and choose layer style "multiply". This is how this image was created, by using two techniques together. Have Fun!

this one is a bit more time consuming than the previous ones, you have to layer the barrels on top of the shape you want to shade, and then add shapes to cover the lines.
So I decided to show some of my the techniques I've developed throughout the years. I go through the process of taking a head of a model and transforming it into a faceplate.
This is Lucy(1 almost 2) in her new eyelet dress made by me with the Made by Rae tutorial for the Spring Ruffle Top. This is a cute tutorial and I used it sort of as a general guide to making this little a-line dress for Lucy. The fabric is a white eyelet and vintage blue floral given to me by my aunt.
