On the back, measure the middle of one 4 inch side at 2 inches. On one 6 inch side mark every two inches. From the marks on the 4 inch and 6 inch sides draw lines to make a square in the corner.

Fun to make.

I wrote a new tutorial for my blog Nittybits! You can find it here.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Coloring #1:

first, open your photoshop (kinda obvious, steph -.-)

next, open the picture you want and sharpen your picture twice.

- filter > sharpen > sharpen -

now lets make the dark parts darker.

- image > adjustments > selective color -

where it says RED click it and click on BLACK.

BLACK:

0

0

0

+100

click OK.

lets do the same thing again.

- image > adjustments > selective color -

this time we stay on RED.

RED:

+22

+20

-76

+14

click OK.

the picture should be pink-like.

lets put some sunshine on this picture!! :D

- image > adjustments > brightness/contrast -

brightness:

contrast:

+25

of course, press OK.

and that's it! :)

I like it. Its pretty cute. haha.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Coloring #2:

this one is pretty simple. you can do it in like 30 seconds or less.

open the picture you want and sharpen your picture twice.

- filter > sharpen > sharpen -

now go to CHANNEL which should be located next to your LAYERS.

www.upload3r.com/serve/220610/1277215831.jpg

Now, click on GREEN. The picture should turn gray.

Then, click on SELECT and select ALL. There should be a border around your picture.

Right after that, click on EDIT then COPY.

Now, go back to your CHANNEL and click on BLUE.

The picture should turn lighter but its still gray.

Click EDIT then PASTE. The picture should still be gray.

Now, on CHANNELS click on RGB.

Then go on SELECT and click on DESELECT.

and that's it!! :D

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just remember, these are the results on THIS picture.

for Scrap Busters Month at Sew, Mama, Sew!

blogged

This is some sort of tutorial on how I do my brick wall backgrounds. Though scrapbooking papers can give you a very realistic and easy brick background, sometimes I love to make a "real" wall with texture and color.

The wall is made out of styrofoam, the window is made of foamboard.

I've made several brick walls so far and each turned out very different (need to upload a photo of them standing together ; )).

Of course, my bricks are not perfectly scaled. I didn't research the 1:1 measurements, I just decided to make them app. 5cms long and about 1,5cm high. If you like to make them in a different size, you can easily alter that : ).

Please join me on the blog today as I make up a simple, weighted blanket - commonly used for people with sensory disorders, those on the autism spectrum, and to help treat anxiety conditions.

This version is made in flannel and bound with a 1/4" double-fold binding. It weighs 4 pounds, with 6" channels, and measures approximately 39" by 51".
