Turtles sunning in Troy Park. The water on the left side is showing the reflection from the trees blossoming.
The eggs from the turtle were collected just after laying, and moved to a 24/7 guarded compound. Upon hatching the babies are collected in the compound into a crate (as above) for release directly into the Pacific. This avoids the eggs being poached in the first place, and the babies wandering in land towards any bright lights. rather than into the sea.
