The stone dwellings of Bandelier National Monument were etched into the volcanic tuff walls by Ancestral Puebloans. The human presence through the canyon dates back nearly 10,000 years, with most recent use being only 500 years ago. While the National Park Service does a great job at maintaining and keeping the history well preserved, can you spot at least three historical inaccuracies of this scene?

Or Pop Rocks!

There were literally thousands and thousands of these small pumice rocks on the canyon floor. You walked right over them.

The contrast between a modern dark door and the crumbling, centuries-old stone walls of the historic Kond district.

Established in the 17th century under Persian rule, Kond is the oldest surviving neighborhood of Yerevan, preserving a unique layout from long before the modern Soviet-era grid reconstruction.

This image captures the resilient spirit of an ancient urban community tucked away inside a labyrinth of centuries-old tuff stone masonry.

Back Story ..................

Left at daybreak with dog food, medicine and camera gear.

Ride out and back was same same with no big drama issues !

Pulled into The Dog palace and guess what ? No Browns.

OK, so lets back up to yesterday, it rained all day with

thunder, lightning and big winds. I was down for the count

and didn't make it out to feed them.

So when I pulled in and The Browns weren't there that meant

simply go to plan B.

Grabbed the feed bags for The Leroy Crew and head out

through The DMZ. In short order Girl Friend and Tuff Guy

were being fed at their usual spot.

Circled around and was met by Honey who required her

usual quota of affection. Little princess and her sister also

needed some attention as they were quite excited to see

Mr FoToe Man as was their mom and grandma.

Two tourist mini vans pulled in and of course that was also documented shown here in this busy photo.

Notice Mr Tuff Guy right in the middle searching for handouts.

Even after being fed a large breakfast Girl Friend and Tuff Guy

are always eager for any extra sweets that come their way.

Tuff Guy loves to flirt with the pretty girls, it's a guy thing, right?

Time to return to The Dog Palace and find Mama & Mr Brown.

Went up on the roof and started whistling in all directions.

Didn't take long and I hear some noise approaching from my

six o'clock . Spun around just in time to side step Mama who

was running full blast and would have taken me out at the knees. Both of us scamper back down to their dinning area where breakfast was served.

Noticed Mama kept glancing back towards the rusty old gate in search of Mr Brown. And in due time Mr Blind Man Brown made his appearance. Cautiously he made his way up the stairs and with his nose working overtime found a food tray and started chowing down. Both dogs were given their medicines, it was documented in my journal with time and date.

30 minutes later we went over to visit Mr Kind Man Monk as shown in the next photo. I had brought some English material for him to study. That's right, I teach him a few words in English every time I see him. He in turn feeds The Browns some of the food he receives in his alms bowel. I also give him some special food and treats....;-)
