View from my campsite in Tuff Campground, just after the sun set in the Eastern Sierras. I used my smartphone camera while my DSLR captured this memory.
Trying to keep up with Mom who darted ahead to catch a fish, Tuffs with the white fur trimming the ears and Toughie who always seem to be on a mission. We fell in love with these little guys and giggled like children as we watched them play.

Today is yet another muddy, windy, cloudy, rainy weekend. Initially I planned to go for capturing some waterfalls. These are great days for photographing waterfalls. But the heavy wind doesn't help. So I have to spend the weekend lazy indoor.
That is why decided to post an old waterfall picture from last year. I went to this place before. But the water quality was not that great. The perfect amount of water is really important for good waterfall photography and that also differs based on the nature of the waterfall. For this one; large amount of water is better as that fills all the streams creating better effect of water. That is why this second attempt after heavy rain.
Please have a look at my website www.avisekhphotography.com for all my recent works.
Have a nice weekend.
Hope you will enjoy the picture.
Any suggestions or criticisms are always welcome.
My friend Denise named this little cub Tuffs because of the rimmed ears which is white fur. At first we thought there was a problem with the ears but the close ups proved it was thick fur...very different but also very easy to keep track of her in the future. I’m just guessing not sure what sex she is. The other cub Denise, Stu and I decided would be Tuffy not sure if that is the spelling we chose.
Here Tuffy and SWR are having a moment together as they wait for a fish. The tender interactive moments is what it is all about for me.
A possible shield and other glyphs on the volcanic tuff walls of the Chalfant Valley / Volcanic Tablelands.
Note: I have no idea if this really represents a shield or not.
A Busy Day At The Feeders
One of these birds was here a long time ago. It was nice to see it again. I know they often hang out with the Chickadees.

"Tuff" is rock that started as volcanic ash and other ejected fragments that accumulate around a volcano and are consolidated into rock.

The skies we had on Tuesday were quite interesting. Like this one :) Three exposure HDR processed with Nik HDR Efex Pro 2

I asked him " Mountains or Beach or Falls" and he chose Beach and I think he now has a crush on Haystack Rock. Or, from the look on his face, he may kick its ass.
In choosing the beach it means he has to come back again for the Mountain and the Falls option.
P.S. J and Mari love the Mountains and Falls, I hear.
During the ascent to Sindri crater we hiked by some interesting tuff formations, no wonder that our anchestors saw gangs of trolls, dragons and dwarves in every mountain.
September 3rd we ventured on a day hike to Sindri crater and Ásgrindur peaks in Tindfjöll, Syðra Fjallabaki, Iceland. Tindfjallajökull is the smallest glacier on the island, it covers the caldera of an extinct stratovolcano, approximately 7-10 km in diameter. On a clear day the hiker is awarded with amazing views over Mýrdalsjökull, Eyjafjallajökull, Þórsmörk and Fjallabak.
Dagsferð á Sindra og Ásgrindur í Tindfjöllum, lagt var upp frá skálanum í Hungurfit og haldið til fjalls. Veðrið lék við okkur og útsýnið sveik engan.
I was busy shooting photos of some birds up in the trees at the World Bird Sanctuary when I saw something scurrying around on the ground out of the corner of my eye. When I looked down I saw this little guy staring at me. He stood perfectly still for several minutes, apparently thinking that I wouldn't see him.
