Trying a black and white edit of Gold Hill in Shaftesbury, Dorset, as Storm Eunice was brewing

Trying out a new-to-me Super Wide-Heliar 15mm f4.5. It's roughly equivalent to a 21mm FOV on the M8.
Trying to mix my stream up a bit so I thought I would take a shot of the amazing structures in rocks at Godrevy, somehow a lighthouse crept into the frame
I am terrible without snooker so the table only serves to take pictures.

Trying out the SA control on my RF100mm Macro. This lens has an SA (Spherical Aberration) control that changes the bokeh and the apparent sharpness of the image by adding a diffused soft-focus look as you change the control ring from -4, 0, +4 This is @ +4.
The OOF bubbles are actually water from a solar fountain in the foreground. + settings change the FG bokeh, and - settings change the BG bokeh. Either way softens the actual focus point
For me, I would take two shots if conditions allow, one with and one without SA, then in PS mask-out the SA subject to bring the non-SA subject into clear focus, leaving the background or foreground with the SA effect.
My 2 cents
Trying to ride every day after work before it gets too dark to ride. Straight from the stock camera app. (Beta iOS 10.1)
It's football season on the Siuslaw River. Tourists and locals alike were making bets on whether the sailboat's tall mast would split the uprights.

PINK "TRY"
"Where there is desire
There is gonna be a flame
Where there is a flame
Someone's bound to get burned
But just because it burns
Doesn't mean you're gonna die
You got to get up and try, try, try
Gotta get up and try, try, try
You got to get up and try, try, try"

"Où il y a du désir
Il y aura une flamme
Où il y a une flamme
Quelqu'un va surement se brûler
Mais que cela brûle
Ne veut pas dire que tu vas mourir
Tu dois te relever et essayer, essayer et essayer
Te relever et essayer, essayer et essayer
Tu dois te relever et essayer, essayer et essayer"

Am trying to comment, but the flickr gods aren't cooperating.
I've missed you all
I've had a chance to reflect. I have to spend time researching for and pulling together stories, all of which I want to feature on flickr. There are also a number of other projects I've been putting off for the eighteen months that I've been on flickr. I need to get some balance going here. All this means that, for the foreseeable future, I will be up on flickr every two or three days rather than every day as I have been to date. Many of my flickr buddies have curbed their flickr activities, and some have even dropped off flickr for reasons similar to mine.
Flickr is an addictive business. It has a tendency to take over, and Explore really drives the addiction. Explore is like heroin in that it stokes us for a period of time by including everything we post, only to drop us us for periods of time during which we try everything to regain the old Explore high.
Not trying to be resentful or maudlin here. Just trying to put flickr into perspective. I'll still get around to see you all on a regular basis, and I promise to pull some good stories together. Thanks for being great buddies. You've all become an important part of my life. You teach me so much, and I'll still be part of this great community.
Feel free to email me directly at any time. I'm around a lot.
