Well, I had to try to get some shots of the super moon tonight since last night didn't work out as planned. (The moon rose behind a foggy haze over the ocean so I couldn't see it at the horizon when it looks the biggest.) Tonight I got to a new location about 15 minutes from home, and set up my camera 5 minutes early, then to my HUGE disappointment discovered I had swapped a low battery for another one and didn't check it. So I had a DEAD battery in my camera! :-( And then the moon came up big and glorious and golden orange. I phone my husband to tell him what happened and how gorgeous the moon was, and he offered to bring me the other battery which was on the charger. I said no, it would likely be too late when he arrived, so I just watched and enjoyed the scene. There were a couple of other photographers there and I asked each of them if they had a spare battery..no luck...Just as I was getting in my car to leave, my husband arrived with the other battery. What a darling!! So I got a few shots, but not the ones I planned. And then I enjoyed the view of the city lights reflecting on the water and got a few shots of the distant MacDonald bridge. The shot below of the moon rising is a composite of what I saw but didn't capture..photoshop helps me keep the memory. I decided I could go back tomorrow evening but it sounds like we may have rain and clouds.

When people try my patience then they will learn that there is consequences to their actions.

 

AND DEFINATELY DONT MESS WITH MY FRIENDS. People will definitely learn!

This toad was minding his own business in the corner of our deck of the camping cabin. I probably would not have seen him if it wasn’t for the tree “ fluff” collecting around him. Once I saw him stick out his long tongue to catch a bug. He was so quick I did not catch him with my camera. I admired his ability to just blend in and be in the moment.

Trying some new tatoos for the next shooting at Naturally naughty studio.

I had a fantastic night with Rebecca in Bristol watching a second Jeffrey Lewis gig. It was famtastic as he didn't repeat any songs or slideshows from the previous night in Cardiff so was well worth seeing him two nights in a row. Try it again is by Jeffrey Lewis. It's another cloudless sky here so try it again will be my butterfly day too.

I tried to get some half decent photos of the pups, their first photoshoot lol. I did one at a time, followed by Olive at every step. They are 3 and a half weeks old now, growing fast and keeping me busy! The two boys are top middle and right and the rest are girls. It's going to be hard just keeping one lol.

 

Olive is less inclined to feed them now, understandably so! They are having blitzed puppy meat & puppy milk and loving it, gradually lose the milk over time.

 

I finally sleep in my bed now (hooray) Olive is left in charge lol. They are in a puppy pen and she hops in and out when needed.

The morning light, diffused by rain clouds, helped saturate the subtle colors in the vegetation.

Trying something a bit different from my usual landscapes - I spend an hour or so in my tiny garden this morning with a macro lens and extender - raining yet again so lots of water droplets to try and capture!
