This young lady was busy taking shots of the HUGE Trump sign over the Chicago River. She is from China, but goes to a university in Missouri. She had no idea how nice a camera the Sony A7R in her hands was, borrowed from a friend. She spoke English very well and was not the least bit reluctant to say how much she liked Donald Trump. Astonishing world we live in.
This is Trump International Hotel and Tower in Chicago, Illinois. I took this awhile back with my kid sister when I was showing her around town.
This is a 21 shot panorama (7 shots by 3 shots) of the Trump Tower taken from the Columbus Dr. Bridge. I wanted to take a big pano from here because a single shot requires a big wide angle lens but would still not quite capture the complete scale of the scene. Also a wide angle lens will create lens distortions, with the buildings tilted this way and that. While that is correctable when processing, it will also cut down on the size of the shot.
Even with my Nodal Ninja panohead, taking a 21 shot pano was challenging. Thanks to the shaky Columbus Dr. bridge I had to retake a few shots. Even though I was careful, one of the shots I took was completely blurry. Thankfully the shot was from the middle row, so I was able to mask out the blurry bits and let the overlap from the neighboring shots fill in.
The end result at full resolution is a 14973 x 11230 pixel (~165 MP) image that could be printed at 48" x 36" at over 300 dpi. As The Donald might say, "That's huge!"

Enjoy luxurious high-rise living, with waterfront views, when you make your next home at The Trump Plaza. The affluent community includes two twin towers, each with 32 floors. Recently renovated, the full-service community of Trump Plaza includes a doorman, community swimming pool, tennis courts and a game room. There is also a patio area, picnic area, plus a fitness room and sauna. A concierge is on staff, as well as 24-hour security. Homeowners do belong to a Homeowner’s Association, with monthly fees topping $3,000. Fees go to fund upkeep and maintenance of common areas, trash service, pool service, security, insurance and cable television among other amenities. Built in the mid 1980s, the Trump Plaza is located off Flagler Drive in downtown West Palm Beach.
Trump Plaza features two, three, four, and even some five-bedroom condominium homes. Square footage ranges from around 1,900 square feet to 4,000 square feet. Some past owners, though, have chosen to open up two units, giving some of the homes an awe inspiring 6,000 to 8,000 square feet of living space. In addition, there are a handful of two-level townhomes with large terraces overlooking the Intracoastal. All units face to the east and west, with elevators serving just two units. Bedroom balconies provide views of the Intracoastal and ocean. The homes are the picture of luxury, and the price reflects that. While some of the homes go for less than $700,000, others are priced at more than $4 million dollars. Expect CBS construction, with upgrades such as wood and marble flooring, and formal dining rooms. Also, expect to find media rooms, outdoor space and hurricane shutters throughout.

Trump, who famously held up a Bible & once claimed to "love it all"--when pressed for his favorite Bible verse--had a hard time thinking of one, and finally said, "An eye for an eye." (Exodus 21:23-25).
This was another Law of Moses that Jesus alters substantially:
“You have heard that it was said, 'An eye for an eye.....'
"BUT I say to you, 'Do not strike back at evil in kind.' [- Wink]
[Or, 'Don't react violently against the one who is evil.' - SV].
"But if any one strikes you on the RIGHT CHEEK,
turn to him the LEFT also." (Matthew 5:38-39)
A cursory--& common--reading suggests that Jesus is telling people to passively submit to abuse. He's not. One has to understand the culture of Jesus' time. The clue here is that Jesus specifically says, "...strikes you on your RIGHT cheek." For someone facing you, that would require they hit you with their LEFT FIST.
But Jews back then used their left hand to wipe their bums. To even gesture with one's left hand was definitely not kosher! Plus, only men were allowed to punch another man of EQUAL STATUS with their right fists. To backslap an equal resulted in a hefty fine!
Jesus audience here consists of people oppressed by their 'superiors'. The only way 'superiors' could use their RIGHT hand to strike an 'inferior's' RIGHT cheek is with the back of their right hand--a classic move seen as a put down, as a way to put inferiors 'back in their place,' to remind them who is 'boss.'
An inferior could just take it & slink away. Or they could hit back (which would result in even worse punishments). Or, as Jesus recommends, they could turn the other cheek. That makes hitting the 'inferior' person's LEFT cheek with one's RIGHT hand extremely awkward--& impossible!!!
So, in effect, Jesus says to challenge them to hit you again with their right FIST. In so doing, you are challenging them to treat you as an EQUAL. By turning your cheek, you are letting them know that you see yourself as their equal, not as inferior, even though societal norms may allow such abuse from men with 'power.'

As if to reinforce this teaching, the Apostle Paul offers a similar perspective when writing about false apostles in his second letter to the Corinthian Jesus followers. (A passage that comes as a huge surprise to most Christians who have never heard this read in their churches! )

[Wouldn't this have been an amazing passage for Trump
to have read at Falwell's Liberty U from 'Two Corinthians'
back in 2016 rather than the 'verse' about 'liberty in Christ'? ]
Trump is Coming. There is a new boogeyman in this world and unfortunately he is real. Please pay attention and speak out to help end this horrific policy.
