Catherine Deneuve, Boss & Mammina
"...A true friend
You're here till the end
You pull me aside
When something ain't right
Talk to me now and into the night
No need to pretend..."
Hannah Montana - True Friend

To the beautiful Eeva - a real-nature girl from Finland.
I went to Europe recently and it was just absolutely stunning. Can't wait to get back there some time soon :)
The flame of love may die down trough time, but true love never loses its spark. Ten years and I still can’t get over your smile. Through hard times and fights I never stoped loving you.
That was me trying to be sentimental about something I’ve never fully experienced. Oop. I do belive that as the excitement of love dies down, if it is true, you will never stop loving them. Even if it’s not as energetic. Love isn’t just a feeling. It’s something you fight for. Love in general. Not just romance.
It was my Dad and stepmom’s Ten year Anniversary so I made this.
Hope you like.
...well, true by the powers of photoshop :)
for Pretty Pink huh?, not quite as huh? as a pink dinosaur, but I couldn't find any at such short notice.
Maybe the big chest contains lots of gold and I may be sitting on hidden treasure. Or maybe the real treasure is right there out in the open on top of the chest? Definitely the latter; I don't care much about gold but being a silky satin girl is truly my passion in life and makes me really happy. Real treasure is within yourself, often quite easy to find, yet sometimes overlooked and not properly recognized. Find yourself, follow your heart and just be yourself, that's the key to happiness.
Springtime, (end of July), well above timberline on the eastern slope of the White Mountains. This is the higher up Sub-Nival division of the Alpine Zone, where mostly grasses, annual wildflowers and this perennial exist. I think it's named the White Mountain Buckwheat, which is in the Eriogonum family of 250 species.
Looking northeast to White Mountain Peak, two thousand feet above me the Peak sits at about 14,000ft, just a few dozen feet lower than Mt. Whitney, 30 miles to the west across the deep Owens Valley.
There is a still existing road to the top built by the navy in the 50's to study high altitude physiology and g-suit technology, as military jet aircraft were flying higher and higher. There is even a stone hut on the peak where study participants could spend the days required for an experiment. I believe the University of California now manages and maintain the resources along the way.
It was on this road that Schulman travelled, later in the 50's, on a quest for ancient trees to create a tree ring record of year to year climate, over the last few thousand years, since the end of the last Ice Age. Some snag remnants have been dated to more then 11,000 years ago and are part of that chronology.

In your hands there's a photograph. You look up, she begins to laugh. So cold as she walks away and you know that it's time to pay.

About:
This was shot just before this one in Kristiansand some 30 minutes before sunrise :))
I like the texture on the rocks on this place, you can really see how the ice has worked on the rocks :)
That is of course the scientific explanation, but if you listen to the old fishermen in this area, they will tell you a different story:
Long ago Thor battled against the giant Jötnar. It was a vicious war that set marks on the earth as we know it. These marks you see in this shot, was carved into the stone then Thor dragged the Jötnar he had killed into the ocean to feed Jörmungandr, a huge sea serpent.
Today all the Jötnar are gone, now we only have the smaller Trolls in various shapes around :))
Discussion
Comments and critique are as always welcome. Let me hear your opinion, why do you like this, or even better, how would you approach this scenery. Give me your thoughts... If you can't find anything to critique, a simple "nice" is cool too :))
Thanks

I am inspired by the grit and resilience of the sledge hockey players.
I was just leaving the Salem Witch Museum and I began seeing weird things. Once I realized what I was seeing I hurried across the green to get a close photo. Thinking the Weiner mobile was momentarily stopped in traffic I effected my fastest waddle. As I approached I realized it was parked and I needn’t hurry. It was just an odd coincidence.
That Aussie terminology usually refers to something red and not just blue as stated .. Redheads males are often nicknamed Bluey .. its a long tradition .. it does get a little confusing at times .
Heres a real Aussie True Blue , the 64 EH Holden ute , a real Bute Ute if ever there was ever one .
Wouldn't of minded one myself .

IHB 2163, an NRE 3GS21C built on the frame of an SD40T-2 leads a Gibson to Yard Center transfer. Two of IHB's four six-axle Gensets have been retired after only 9 years of service. Pretty pathetic compared to the average age of the other units on their roster, some of them dating back to the late 1960s.
Who says cats & dogs don't get along! This is my cat Bebe, hugging his doggy toy...I don't think he realizes it's a doggy! LoL!!!
The highlight of a phenomenal 2018 birthday weekend with friends in North Jersey was a chase of Conrail Shared Assets local PR-32 from Oak Island back to Port Reading Yard. This was my chance to shoot a long time bucket list target, NS 1700. This locomotive is an EMD SD45-2 that was built new for the Erie Lackawanna Railroad in November 1972 as their #3669. It passed to Conrail in 1976 where it wore number 6654 and then ultimately came to NS in the 1999 split. In 2015 as NS was embarking on its heritage schemes to adorn modern units it also stunned the railfan world when it picked out this classic "true heritage" unit to restore to its as delivered paint.
I got a lot of shots this day, but this is one of my favorites.

UPW 37 dips under the Waukesha Sub before making a stop at River Forest. Hidden in the background, UP 815 sits on spur awaiting a fresh crew to bring YPR60 back to Proviso.
