We were in Hawaii at this time and about when I started to become really aware of what he did when he left our house and went off to Vietnam. He was a career soldier. A Field Artillery Soldier. He was a Honorable Man, fair and standing 6’6” he could be intimidating. But there he was on his hands and knees searching for a runaway hamster during his lunch. He taught me to bake and garden be self sufficient and to be kind. He loved Jazz. He fell in love with it while he was in College driving a Beer truck making deliveries and in the early hours there were Jam sessions going on in the closed nightclubs as he made his deliveries in NYC and NJ. Real Jazz he would say. ❤️Macro Mondays- Father 25th Infantry Division; A taro leaf (Shape)symbolizes the unit’s Hawaiian heritage along with the royal Hawaiian colors, and the flash of lightning is a nod to its well-deserved nickname and motto.
