This visit will enhance the operational and strategic level collaboration between the two armies and builds towards a free and open USINDOPACOM
The owners of several aircraft from around the country displayed their "Warbirds" in Honolulu, Hawaii in August 25, 2020. The owners plan to have their planes flown in formation for the 75th anniversary of the end of WWII.

Medal of Honor recipient Sgt. 1st Class Leroy A. Petry visited with Soldiers from 2nd Battalion 11th Field Artillery, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division (Tropic Lightning) on May 10 at the Pōhakuloa Training Area theater.
Petry was awarded the Medal of Honor for conspicuous gallantry in combat in Afghanistan while assigned to 2nd Ranger Battalion.
During his brief remarks to the Soldiers Petry recalled the combat action for which he was awarded the medal and the rehabilitation for his wounds that followed.
Petry urged the Soldiers to seek opportunities to volunteer in their community in order to generate public support for the Army.
Following his remarks Petry shook hands and posed for photos with the Soldiers.

Several 25th Infantry Division (Tropic Lightning) Soldiers, USAG-PōhakuloaCommand Sgt. Maj. Lynice Thorpe, Pohakuloa firefighters and a Department of the Army Police Officer visited Keaau Middle School Careeer Day on May 4.
The Soldiers--Combat Medics and Military Police--firefighters and police officer talked about their jobs in the Army and brought their gear to show the students. Each of them ephasized the importance of staying in school and studying hard to succeed in life.
