Stylidium laricifolium
Tree Trigger-plant
Clever trigger that hits the back of insects for cross pollination.
Rummaging through the boxes and bags in my back room, I came across a small arsenal of H2O powered weaponry...
However, being far too mature and matronly to do anything as juvenile as playing with them, the only shooting I did was with my camera... :-D
Another top night's collaboration with Tim Gamble in our usual go to dark tunnel during these light summer nights. Shot in one photographic exposure using diffused, slave triggered flash and changes in focal length.

-Cactus KF36 into large softbox behind the glass @ 1/4th power.
-Black card between the glass and the softbox large enough to fill the frame.
-Triggered via cactus V4.
Finally saw the flower & worked out it's Stylidium laricifolium.
The common name Tree Trigger-plant doesn't really do it justice; though the leaves are very different to the grassy-type leaves of other Stylidium I've seen!
Hey everyone!
Here he is, my latest version of the legendary master chief! This is probably the tenth time I've painted a master chief set. I'm kinda done with him now ;P
I repainted my battle rifle in accurate colors this time.
I also added a little detail which is the trigger finger, which I painted silver though it's probably not visible.
Please share your thoughts in the comments with me!
Cheers!

The Los Angeles County Fire Department was alerted to the brush fire at 2:45 p.m., spokeswoman Leslie Lua said. Firefighters responded to North San Gabriel Canyon Road and North Ranch Road.
By about 8:30 pm, the fire had burned 3,000 acres with zero containment, according to the Azusa Police Department.
I use an Einstein 640 strobe with a 22" beauty dish & diffusion sock mounted on an Elinchrom Handheld Boom Arm. I typically fire my camera off with a wireless trigger, and that in turn fires my CyberSync™ Trigger Transmitter on my Nikon D800 to fire off my strobe via a CyberSync™ Transceiver. I end up taking several exposures, both high and low, while walking around the vehicle. I'll layer the images in Photoshop and switch each layer to the 'lighten' blend mode. I have been using layer masks to remove some highlight details from the strobe reflection, but I don't always find it works all the time. 1970 Plymouth Duster, 2016 Mountain Thunder Car Show in Old Fort, North Carolina. I shot the car in full daylight with about 5 stops of ND filtration and had the flash power at maximum.

Tried all night getting the Nikon SU800 commander to trigger my remote speedlights outside and failed. Ended up using a single wired SB600, handheld at arms length. Despite shooting through a softbox pretty harsh shadows from the collar because of the close distance.
Now researching radio triggers. What's your favorite in the cheaper than pocketwizard class?

With nearly as much star power as his owner, Roy Rogers, Trigger was arguably the most famous horse in show business. The palomino was originally named Golden Cloud, but his name was changed because he was “quick on the trigger.” He boasted an impressive repertoire of more than 100 tricks.
