What a lovely photograph, the catalogue title suggests that we are looking at Mrs. Joe Widger (Miss Morris), Liverpool, Mr. J. Widger and lady. I remember we have come across the Widger name before, it will be interesting to see how this photo fits in with others we have perused.

It was a quiet Halloween, we didn't get too many trick or treaters through the 'hood. Maybe 20-30, if we're pushing it. It seems like it gets quieter and quieter every year. Although, this year, the weather was working against the kids.
Rain + cold = not motivated parents.
Oh well, more for us (me)!

At a stop sign we noticed trick or treaters outside. I was so stoked! Brian rolled down the window and since Paula had brought a bag of candy, we had some to give to them.

June got into my pumpkin basket on her own....so all I had to do was grab my camera, change all the settings, and turn on the strobe lights. Not the greatest pics but she's one difficult kitty to capture.

It's Halloween even in space! Some alien children have knocked at Benny's airlock in the last hours... This is Vrax'ipt from planet Xublorth. Does it ring a bell? It's the home planet of Aux'yd (www.flickr.com/photos/priovit70/24526819879/in/album-7215...) and it's only 9 light years away from Outpost Alpha. Vrax'ipt asked her aunt Aux'yd (what a coincidence) to give him a lift to go trickortreat with his brand new devil costume. Will he be lucky with Benny and Mr. Robot?

It’s almost Halloween!
Candy in the stores!
The most I’ve ever seen!
It’s time to make a pick
On what treats I will give out.
Too much candy makes one sick.
Little toys are not standout.
Perhaps cute little packs,
Decorated with designs,
Containing healthy snacks
That are healthy for waistlines?
But to pay for all those goodies
I’d most likely need magic.
Better save my pennies

. . . for UNICEF. When I was a child/youth, our church usually sponsored a Halloween event where we collected donations for UNICEF. After all groups returned to the church and monies were turned in, treats were available. Pictured for Macro Mondays is my Trick-or-Treat image of hot cocoa with marshmallows (the real treat). BTW - our hot cocoa treats at church were not made with packets of instant mix; they were made the old fashioned way.

Galahs make wonderful, energetic pets and when trained with consistency have a good talking ability. These birds have an affectionate and bubbly personality and are extremely popular as pets. They are very smart and enjoy human company, loving to learn new tricks and impress their owner.

The galah (/ɡəˈlɑː/; Eolophus roseicapilla), also known as the pink and grey cockatoo or rose-breasted cockatoo, is the only species within genus Eolophus of the cockatoo family. Found throughout Australia, it is among the most common of the cockatoos. With its distinctive pink and grey plumage and its bold and loud behaviour, it is a familiar sight in the wild and increasingly in urban areas. It has benefited from the change in the landscape since European colonisation, and appears to be replacing the Major Mitchell's cockatoo in parts of its range.
Just a wee picture of Asha with her Trick or Treat tabbard on (it actually belonged to a hanging Halloween punpkin decoration which I stripped of the poor pumpkin...lol). I added the background of one of my own pictures taken in the grounds of Greyabbey County Down.
