While most kids were scouring neighborhoods on Halloween night Sunday, some others had the opportunity to walk into Bella Pizza in North East for a bag of Herr's Trick or Treat Potato Chips and Bella's pizza samples.
Owner Peppe Dimeo and Samantha Grove, like dressing up for the holiday as they work on pizza orders.
"Halloween is a nice celebration and we like to participate and to celebrate like eveyone else," said owner Peppe.
Bella's had some repeat trick or treaters on Sunday night and it wasn't for the candy.
"It's pretty funny. The kids were in earllier and they came back later. I had enough pizza, so I gave them more," said Peppe.
Three girls in colonial outfits came in and were happy to be leaving with the special edition potato chips.
"It's nice to see the look on the kids faces," said Samantha. "When they come in and see us dressed up, they like it and we like it to."
Samantha didn't have to think too hard for her costume of choice. It was the second year in a row she was a tigress.
"I'm a tiger. Actually I went to Rising Sun, so maybe that rubbed off on me," she said of the high school's mascot.

This is probably my favorite photo of the evening! I really like how the girl is staring up at the Tardis. If you are a Doctor Who fan and have ever thought about where the Tardis might take you, I think you would look up with wonder the same as this girl!

I'm tempted to say 'trick' on Thursday when some kids knock on my door. I don't think that kids plan for such eventualities these days!

A children's trick that was in the Vermont Country Store. The idea is that there is a penny stuck in the middle of the wooden circle. You spin the penny and watch the circle spin. Then you look at your hand, and your hand will get bigger and smaller just like the whirls on the circle. My mom and dad used to take my children to flea markets when they were little, and this looks just like something that they would have come home with.
Regular dental checkups are essential for keeping your child’s teeth healthy, and they can help form good oral hygiene habits your child will be grateful for.

When I was a kid there was no such thing over here and I'm not sure when it "arrived" in the UK.
The traditional English thing around this time of year was "penny for the Guy" but a pair of old trousers and a shirt stuffed with rags with a mask on, being pushed round in an old pram (now called pushchairs or strollers - when did that happen??), seems to have become a thing of the past. Saying that I did see one outside a pub last week. Theres another thing that is rapidly becoming a "thing of the past". I should've taken a photo because in ten years noone will know what a Guy Fawkes or a pub is at this rate of decline.
Halloween is now a bonanza for the supermarket and £1 shops, not to mention being a bonanza for the landfill sites as they fill up with pumpkins, non biodegradable plastic cauldrons, tridents and tombstones on the first of November, after being put to very good use for almost two hours, the night before. Now that is frightening.
I know it's a day late, but here's the boys in their Halloween costumes.

The GoPro takes some wonderful photos, particularly given that it wasn't really designed as a strong still camera. It has no manual exposure controls, of course, but its auto-exposure can adjust ISO and shutter speed. It can usually find a workable answer no matter what the lighting is like.
In an interior like this, I instinctively look for a floor sign or something that I can scoot over into position and use as an impromptu tripod. This shot was a half-second exposure and if I'd handheld it I bet it would have been a little too blurry.
