How can you make your flash brighter?
Easy: Make your camera more sensitive to flashlight without changing your ambient exposure. That means: Set your shutter speed to a value near syncspeed and compensate this regarding ambient light via your ISO setting. .

Hot off the camera........my Grandson has just headed out Trick or Treating. I have just had one knock at the door......last year no one knocked on my door.
Halloween isn't as big here in Australia as it is in the US.
One year my Grandson went out & people weren't prepared with lollies, so he came back with boxes of biscuits & $1 & $2 coins. :))

I scared some trick or treaters to death while taking this photo. I was leaning up against a parked car (to steady me) - and shot about 15 times to get the exposure right... they thought I was a *Halloween decoration* - so when I moved they all screamed their heads off!

R.E. Tricker Ltd. St Michaels Rd, Northampton have been producing high end footwear since 1829 and are still thriving. One of the few survivors of the once extensive boot shoe and leather industry that the town was famed for. Also this factory appeared in a well known film some years back...Jan 31 2019.
I saw what I thought was an orange traffic cone rolling across Division St. during a high wind advisory. But it was that hat. We chased each other down and you'll be seeing it around town.
