One of my attempts at the "Crazy Tuesday" theme "trees and leaves".
Shot with a Schneider Kreuznach "Makro-Symmar 120 mm F 5.9 Makro-Iris" on a Canon EOS R5.
Our little acer tree or Japanese Maple has come on leaps and bounds over the past couple of years ~ still looking good in the rain and in black-and-white!

If the tree had a speech bubble it'd be singing the lyrics
Che bella cosa na jurnata 'e sole,
N'aria serena doppo na tempesta!
Pe' ll'aria fresca pare gia' na festa...
Che bella cosa na jurnata 'e sole.
Ma n'atu sole
Cchiu' bello, oi ne'.
'O sole mio
Sta 'nfronte a te!
'O sole, 'o sole mio
Sta 'nfronte a te!
Sta 'nfronte a te!
Quanno fa notte e 'o sole
Se ne scenne,
Me vene quase 'na malincunia;
Sotto 'a fenesta toia restarria
Quanno fa notte e 'o sole
Se ne scenne.
Ma n'atu sole
Cchiu' bello, oi ne'.
'O sole mio
Sta 'nfronte a te!
'O sole, 'o sole mio
Sta 'nfronte a te!
Sta 'nfronte a te!
Ma n'atu sole
Cchiu' bello, oi ne'.
'O sole mio
Sta 'nfronte a te!
'O sole, 'o sole mio
Sta 'nfronte a te!
Sta 'nfronte a te!

I snapped this in my backyard. I live in a very forest-like setting.
This is another memory of Sugar Mill Gardens. What I think I love the most about the scenery there is the multi layers of color and texture that create such intriguing DOF. There's something so primal about the place.
While I myself prefer more manicured gardens, there's really something magical about the wildness of this place. It takes you back to a time when Florida wasn't a mecca for Mouseketeers, or race car fans, and when the only roaring came from dinosaurs, not motorcycles! There are few places left in cities like Daytona where you can retreat from the noise and chaos of society. This is one of them.

I love this EOS, but I miss the macro lens on my PowerShot. So I will still have to keep that camera on-hand if I want to continue shooting that way.
I liked the contrasting colors here. The light through the tree was changing fast, so I wasn't able to get what I originally had in mind, but it kind of worked out anyway.

Whimsical leaves painted in watercolor. Easy to change the wordings, typeface, size, and color of all the text when you personalize the cards.

It had clouded over by the time we got to Sheffield Park this afternoon. So I was only able to take one photo with the sun shining (not this one!). In the soft late afternoon light I was still able to get some nice vivid colours in this photo!
