Created for trees and leaves theme in HaPpY CrAzY Tuesday 💜
I bought this Tree Hydrangea bareroot.. meaning it was just about 8 inches of branches on top with roots. No dirt, no pot. I've babied her throughout the years and now 30+ years later, she's a big beauty. :-) Took this on an overcast day to get more saturated colors. Hope you enjoy.
Found this 1.2 mile accessible trail on a recent visit to Rockaway Beach, OR. It was a rare treat for our son, who is a wheelchair user to have access to such a beautiful trail. HCT!

Crazy Tuesday
trees and leaves
Araucaria heterophylla is a vascular plant in the ancient and now disjointly distributed conifer family Araucariaceae. As its vernacular name Norfolk Island pine (or Norfolk pine) implies, the tree is endemic to Norfolk Island, an external territory of Australia located in the Pacific Ocean between New Zealand and New Caledonia, but is also cultivated elsewhere as an ornamental. The genus Araucaria occurs across the South Pacific, especially concentrated in New Caledonia (about 700 km due north of Norfolk Island) where 13 closely related and similar-appearing species are found. It is sometimes called a star pine, Polynesian pine, triangle tree or living Christmas tree, due to its symmetrical shape as a sapling, although it is not a true pine.
It was very windy yesterday, and the giant Ash was swaying madly....maybe even crazily. I took multiple exposures and got ready for the Crazy Tuesday theme of Trees and Leaves
... oh, it says 'AND leaves' - well, that makes more sense, I suppose!

When taking this kind of head on photo into the sun, the sky is always blown out white. Do I need a filter to capture some of the blue sky or will it always be white as I'm shooting into the sun?
