Trees and fog...you know how much I like them!
I,ve been busy the last week working on freephotoguidesukscotland.blogspot.com/ project so it's nice to be working on photographs again!
The hills have skies, where birds do talk
The skies have hills, where lovers walk
Until beneath the tree, they stand
Heart on heart and hand in hand
Then they return, to the sky
Where on loves cloud, they do lie
Above the hill , that rises above
To kiss the lips, of those in love
Sun rising above tree line in Upstate South Carolina (near the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains). This is similar to a previous capture I uploaded but this one is tighter, earlier, and at a slightly different angle.
Crisp and frozen tree tops. I’ve resolved to buy some gloves. It’s beautiful out but my fingers are so cold I can hardly work the camera.
The Weeping Tree
I thought I would try a portrait version of the tree giving a more detailed view. I liked the extra foreground detail with the nettles to give a bit of texture.

Not getting out much what with other commitments or poor weather for photography. It's either scorching blue skies or pelting rain and hail with deep gloomy grey skies.
One from a while ago during a frosty misty morning on the banks of Loch Eil.

There is just something so beautiful about this Tree! Can you imagine what it has been through?? What it has had to endure through its lifetime and yet this tree still shares its beauty with us. Some people see a dead tree but I see the elegance, the beauty, the perseverance as it takes on a new day at the Colorado National Monument
A favorite spot along the "Hall of Mosses" trail in the Hoh Rainforest is this unique tree arch. One of many wonders along this fascinating trail.
Thanks for taking a look and for your remarks or suggestions.
Minimalistic beauty of winter...

Intake II is a small manmade lake on Bishop Creek, which is much more appealing than its nondescript name would lead you to believe. I first heard of this area from a gentleman in the Bishop, California Visitors Center and was pleased to discover this beautiful lake in the mountains to the west. On this morning I had great light and calm winds, allowing me to capture the colors and their reflection ... with a hint of lake-fog on the water.
