13th October 2020:
We had about ¾hr of sunshine, without a gale blowing, so wrapped up in my ski jacket I nipped over to my little nature reserve to get my Crazy Tuesday photo and a photo for today. It was a toss up to which one I uploaded for my POTD, as I liked them both and maybe the Crazy Tuesday one a little bit more. But, I try not to use the same photo of two "themes" groups.

The elephant tree trunk playing hide and seek. This is such a neat twisted trunk of a tree... do you see what I see?
This particular snowstorm on March 9, 2023 were all taken from the comfort inside my home! It was a particular nasty snowstorm. So glad I was able to capture it. When the fires of last year ravaged the landscape, it was devastating. These blackened tree trunks illustrate some of the damage done. They appear to form a barrier with a community of color on their other side. When the forests were tinder dry, many warned of such a possibility.
It is unconscionable to think that according to local firemen, it started from errand cigarette buts thrown from a car. In addition, as they were battling the blazes, their equipment was being stolen by those thinking to sell devises such as quads, hoses, and more. Hopefully this spot and the surrounding area will recuperate quickly.

This is a close-up photo of a weathered coastal tree trunk with a shape in the bark that suggests a pareidolia portrait of a predator.
In March I had an opportunity to visit my sister in Victoria, Texas. While visiting we toured many areas where I was able to get a photo shoot in. On this day we stayed in Victoria and traveled to the outskirts where this lazy river was flowing. Right on that river bank was a bar and grill where we relaxed with a Martini and shrimp. Such a nice view from their outdoor deck! Some of the views are abstract with many reflections. I will be uploading each place separately as I get them ready to view.
