This week I came across this tree trunk with mushrooms in the forest near Staverden in the Veluwe. There were rain showers and at a moment the light fell exactly right on it so that the tree is separated from the background. The rain intensifies the colors of the bare tree and makes the forest behind it more gloomy.

On the dirt road from Tajique up to 4th of July Campground, one passes by the burn scar from a wildfire. This one stood out.

This was from 2015, in 2021 when last we were there, the burn scar was showing quite a bit of undergrowth coming back.

This is a photo of a driftwood tree trunk on the riverbank reflected on the river, The image has been rotated to the vertical.

This fallen log was rich with weathered grain, moss and mycelium textures.

Tamarix tetrandra in my garden

This flower was planted by a landscaper, probably years ago.

Image yourself taking a slow walk through this beautiful meadow into a golden aspen tree forest with the sun shining bright and the temperature is perfect. As you walk around you can see where Elk had been bedded down for the night. A great place to hike and explore. This was taken in west Boulder County Colorado and is sure to add some color to your walls.
