In the bottom of the Minister's Treehouse there is a tiny little apartment. I peeked in the windows and was told my a couple that it was okay to go inside, telling me the guy that was living there had moved to Florida. The couple explained that they had been married in the tree house and worked hard to keep it clean and safe.

This 60-room site built on two ledges is one of the largest cliff dwellings in the park. Oak Tree House is a well preserved but fragile site that features plastered walls and varied architectural styles.

This is where I live. It is surrounded by trees, and up on hill, so from the inside if feels like you're up in the trees.
Sometime in the past year, one of the 100-foot-tall pine trees was struck by lightening. It was dying, splitting down the side, and leaning towards the house. It took awhile, by my neighbor finally found a landscaping company with the equipment and nerve to come and take the tree out.

This tree house just outside Kennebunkport, Maine, had all the style of the main house - the sign of happy kids or a husband in trouble?
Welcome Swiss Family Robinson, this tree house is BIG. Can you see the twig "basket" dumb waiter on the right?
The rafters allow for the tree to grow. Great twig railings and most enjoyable for us BIG kids!
