Saw this one yesterday while I was out walking. I noticed the way the leaves looked almost translucent with the sun shining through them so I processed the pic to highlight the effect.

This image was made using macro photography and light painting.

Hardly any bigger than a mouse, they peek inside and see how wet they are behind the ears.

Combined with a drop o' blood, they peer into the crystal ball and say we've got a healthy baby. Most likely.

Hollyhocks are in the garden across the street from our home. This was taken after a brief shower the other evening. The petals of the flower were almost translucent and looked very fragile.

About Semuc Champey, Guatemala

Semuc Champey is a natural monument in the department of Alta Verapaz, Guatemala, near the Q'eqchi' Maya town of Lanquín. It consists of a natural 300 m limestone bridge, under which passes the Cahabón River. Atop the bridge is a series of stepped, turquoise pools, a popular swimming attraction. Although it can be difficult to get to, Semuc is becoming more and more popular with travelers.
