The new springtail season has started. Dicyrtoma fusca can be found in the garden again. A worm also appears left down.
Snow coming to the Chilterns? A light, wet sprinkling of it this morning.
Isn't that a lovely word -- Translucent.. I use it whenever I can. And doesn't it add a dimension to pictures like this? (But maybe only On Black.)

I found this little flower growing in some grass in one of my neighborhood parkways. The raindrops seemed to glisten, and the petals are translucent.
This is a tiny flower about 1.4cms dia... captured live under sun shine and the lense glare give a sun or moon as in background..
3" of a Tiffany lamp we have had for years. The art of stained glass is the translucent offspring of such earlier art forms as mosaic and enameling. From the mosaicist came the conception of composing monumental images out of many separate pieces of coloured glass.
Lensbaby 56 got some practise with my Valentine flowers I love this lens can't wait to get outside shots with it.

This little small lamp with the wanna be Tiffany look of grapes comes in at 1-3/8 inch square frame. Translucent color glass lets the light out but easy to look upon.
