Tower Transit VN36115 (BJ11DVL) on route 452 standing at Vauxhall bus station on 19/01/2019
Since its inception in 2006, route 452 was operated by Abellio London (and its predecessor Travel London)
Tower Transit won the route on 1st December 2018 using spare Volvo B9TL/Wright Gemini 2s made redundant following the culling of route 25 to City Thameslink which pretty much halved the vehicle requirement on the route.
VN36115 is seen standing at Vauxhall before it returns to Kensal Rise.

Winnipeg Transit 2001 New Flyer D30LF #944 seen on 2 Downtown Spirit on York Avenue near Israel Asper Way.
The clouds cleared for a few minutes this afternoon. I was able to capture the show that Venus put on for us while passing between the Sun and Earth. I had to double stack a B&W ND 110 (1000x) and a B&W ND 106 (64x) filter to capture this event. I didn't have time to set up the tripod so this was hand held. I used the Zuiko 70-300 mm with a 1.4x TC. You can see Venus in the upper right while it traveled to the left during this event. You can also see a few of the sun spots as well. The next time this will occur is in 105 years. Cropped heavily in 8x10 format.

GO Transit 2013 Alexander Dennis Enviro500 #8157 seen on 92A Oshawa/Yorkdale at Yonge Street and Bishop Avenue.
I rarely shoot subways, light rail, or transit since that's not really my thing. However, for every rule their is an exception and I certainly can understand their appeal to many. Since I was hear anyway waiting for the CSX/MBTA GEO extra I opportunistically photographed both some MBTA commuter trains and some Orange Line transit since they share this bridge which crosses the Mystic River at MP 2.6 on the Western Route mainline between the city of Somerville and Medford.
This four track, 11 span bridge is 965 feet long and 64 feet wide, with a 30 foot clearance. It has three rapid transit lines of the Orange Line's Haymarket-North Extension and the single commuter rail line. It was dedicated June 15, 1973 replacing the ancient four track wide Boston and Maine Railroad Draw 8. It is named the Edward Dana Bridge in honor of America's dean of mass transit, who retired from the MTA in 1959 after a 52 year career in transit having served as president of the Boston Elevated Company during its years as a private enterprise prior to the 1947 creation of the MTA.
Dominating the background is the Assembly Square area of Somerville which was built on the land that was once the Boston and Maine Railroad's Yard 21 and is so named for Ford Motor Company's Somerville Assembly plant that operated here from 1926 to 1958 building large Corsair and Citation big series Edsels. All the colorful new buildings in the background are part of Assembly Row, a 45 acre mixed used development that opened a decade ago containing retail outlets, restaurants, residential space, office and research and development space, a 12-screen cinema and a 200-room hotel as well as a new stop on the Orange Line which opened in 2014, at that time the first new rail station on the subway system since 1987.
As for the train it consists of a string of #14 type cars built by CRRC at their Springfield plant, of which their are 140 on the roster at the present time all built between 2018 and 2025.

Today, the planet Venus passed in front of the sun. This happens twice every 110 years or so. The next time will be in the year 2117. The last time this occurred was in 2004 and it was overcast all day, so this was my last chance to see the event in my lifetime...
Up at 5:30AM and its cloudy...so the shot I had envisioned ... sunrise with Bangkok skyline and sun image would not be possible. However, by 10AM the sun peeked through the clouds long enough to get this image. The overcast clouds cause the "mottling" effect.
This transit was only visible in Asia and Europe.
