Following the demise of Utopia Coaches in August, bi-hourly service 8 between Selby and Drax has been picked up on short-term tender by Transdev York. This can’t be the most efficient vehicle duty given that it entails a fifteen mile dead run at the start and end of the day and regular spells of up to ninety minutes sat inactive in Selby between journeys. Currently on loan from Keighley, MPD YG52GDJ (703) was caught as it left Barlow with the 11:40 Selby-Drax today.
