Transdev 2018 in York on CityZap service to Leeds. 18th March 2021.
Transdev York put their ADL Enviro 400 MMCs into service during mid-December, they look exceptionally smart in this version of the cityzap red & silver. It is quite an investment ( £1 million is quoted ) given the collapse of passenger numbers between York and Leeds on the trains. Short term their target market must be leisure travellers i presume. However given Coastliner already does a good job with that on a broader customer base area it is difficult to see how these will realise their full potential. Traditionally new buses like this would be looking after established markets, maybe the (7) 60 to Keighley but they for example have just received 12 year old refurbished deckers instead.
