WLP Morocco/ADFM held a Training of Trainers Institute for Women’s Leadership and Political Participation in partnership with the Ouarzazate-based Peace Corps and the local association Oxygen from February 8-10. Participants included 25 women from Ouarzazate and other villages in the region, identified and selected by Peace Corps volunteers working in the area. WLP facilitators reported that the TOT Institute was a great success, with participants already planning to replicate the training with their colleagues at their respective associations.
WLP is excited by this new relationship with the Peace Corps in Morocco, given its potential to facilitate the training of an even greater number of women across the country to build leadership and political participation skills to advance gender- and social-justice, and democratic values in their communities.
