It also doubled as the start of our training for Tough Mudder 2012. (toughmudder.co.uk/)

42 participants joined the training on the United Nations Police Gender Toolkit from 14-16 October in Barcelona, Spain, following the IAWP conference.
The training was conducted in two groups, one in English and one in French.
The training on the UNPOL Gender toolkit improves the skills of serving United Nations Police officers and the participating officers from host-states and member states in preventing and investigating SGBV. It also increases the number of specialized trainers on SGBV within the UN field missions and the host state police institutions.
The training empowers peacekeepers to be more involved in addressing SGBV and will outline the steps in creating specialized police SGBV units. The training also covers the SGBV victim referral pathway and participants develop a training plan on the prevention and investigation of SGBV.
