Usually people who sit with you in the same compartment alienate themselves with books, cell phones or i-Pods but sometimes you meet someone who's really fun to talk. This lady was a perfect example of such a person. We talked for a few hours about art, photography, studying and life and just before I got off the train in Poznan, I took this simple portrait of her using my old medium format camera.

It's 9 mile's around Barr Lake and one side has rail road track's so I see one coming towards me so a get a shot.
With the advent of the new Blue Cargo train which had to much excitment a cattle truck I decided to not wait and make a couple of my own. Imagine my disappointment when I saw the one that TLG were offering I felt really sad as it was little more than a cattle pen on wheels and would not stop a fully grown cow or bull if they really wanted to escape. With these two I wanted to go with something more European, the kind of box car with slits the animals can breath through and air vents around the tops. They each have one door per side that opens as well. At the momoent the only one to have licestock inside is the red one which has two tiger cubs from the Friends Animal range.

So I was just messin' around with this photo, and I decided to put in a motion blur and a small glow. The end of the train was so difficult to work around, took me a few hours just to get it right and I still hate the way it turned out.
(Yes, this is a photo I took. I'll throw the original up later. )
As for the setup, it's different than I usually do. I was very much inspired by Dustin Diaz and I wanted to try out his format with a nice little quote from Matisyahu.

The puny metal railings on top of the bridge, seem more akin to a light railway, or narrow gauge line.
The former station footbridge provides the backdrop as Central Trains Class 150 DMU No. 150006 calls at Langley Green in May 2005 with a service heading for Stratford-upon-Avon.
