Milepost 39 on the former Michigan Central is located in northwest Ann Arbor, Michigan. These tracks host Amtrak's Wolverine Service trains between Chicago and Detroit and a few Norfolk Southern freight trains. The rails are owned by the Michigan Department of Transportation.
When in Italy a few weeks ago, we stayed in quite a strange little collection of buildings up on the hill above Foggia.
Surrounded by friends, food & coffee - there was little else to see except for lizards and the scorching, unrelentless sunshine blasting down on us at a constant 40C.
About 100 yards across the fields was a train track, apart from the occasional daytime train it was most noteworthy for the fact that it was used to fill metal containers with rocks.

This track crosses Sullivan Trail north of Uhler Road in Forks Twp, north of Easton, PA. I think this is a spur that goes to and from the cement factories in Nazareth. Former Lehigh & New England RR, now Norfolk Southern.
Looking RR East from the old HWY 10 bridge. BNSF cleared the trees early 2015 in anticipation of adding a second main. As of 12-25-2015 nothing else has been done.

The Killesbergpark is an urban public park of half a square kilometre in Stuttgart, Germany. It is just north of the state capital, where Killesberg is a quarter of the borough of Stuttgart-Nord. [Wikipedia]
A small train runs along it´s many "trenches" - a great idea enabling kids to play hide n seek, to read a book with less wind exposure in Autumn... really quite nice.

Tracks made by a Green Sea Turtle on Kawa'aloa Beach, Molokai, Hawaii. The turtles land at night, then typically go back to sea before daylight. We arrived in the afternoon, so this turtle was probably long gone. This photo is a companion to the previous image in my photostream. The tracks are not visible from the cliff I was standing on as they are almost directly below my feet.
