It's about time more classic Japanese vehicles were modelled in 1/64 scale by the mainstream toy manufacturers. It was quite a welcome choice for Matchbox in making this 1985 Toyota 4Runner. Mint and boxed.

Our Magnetic Gray Metallic 2020 Toyota 4Runner came into town as the Nightshade Special Edition which blacked-out everything including the 20” alloy rims, lower body trim, badging, door handles, mirror caps, and roof rails. 4Runners are tough as nails with enthusiastic off-road prowess that allows you and the crew to venture into the wild whenever requested. Since 1984, the midsize SUV has been raw, hardcore, and unapologetic. It's slated for nomadic owners who choose adventure first, whether traversing through muddy tracks to the campsite or rolling over boulders for a natural high. 22RE release bearing retainer clip position. This is out of a 1988 4runner, but should apply to the trucks as well ranging from 1984 to 1992.
On the left is a Toyota 3.0 V6 release bearing and on the right is a 22RE release bearing (aka: throwout bearing). Below each are their respective retainer clips. The 3.0 V6 bearing is sold as is--there are no parts to b pressed into a new bearing, just install it with the retainer clip and go. The 22RE bearing does require a Toyota hub. You have to remove the old bearing from the hub and then press on the new one. This is out of a 1988 4runner, but should apply to the trucks as well ranging from 1984 to 1992.
Brand new 2025 Matchbox Case H recolour of their 2018 Toyota 4Runner which I've had to source from the US though this batch has been spotted in UK Poundland stores; mine are still full of Case D, F and G so I wasn't prepared to wait/miss out!
All its previous ingredients are present here, a smaller than expected package but still super crisp, particularly in a clean metallic white hue, with plenty of front and rear tampo detailing to lights and badging.

And for the record , yes the Model 3 does take off if you are not watchful, merging into the highway I got a shock today - need to watch that speedo closely, the girl flies :-)

Searching through my hard drives and looking for the path I took over the years with my varioius means of travel - the oldest are low quality images copied from low quality slides taken with cheap cameras but the memories are priceless to me - sadly I cannot find images for all the vehicles so far but I will search on - a few are repeats but i want to post them as a whole.
The last one I will post after these are uploaded is of our latest toy, the "end of the road" for us, for now anyway:-). Hopefully there will be a Tesla Cybertruck if I can stay upright long enough. And for the record , yes the Model 3 does take off if you are not watchful, merging into the highway I got a shock today - need to watch that speedo closely, the girl flies :-)

Toyota 3.0 V6 release bearing on the left and a 22RE release bearing on the right. The V6 bearing can be purchased as-is. The 22RE bearing is sold just as the bear--the shiny silver part at the bottom of the piece on the right. The black piece on top is the release hub that must be pressed in to the bearing. This is a Toyota only part that goes for around $25 at the dealer.
The V6 bearing came in my 22RE 4 cylinder truck. I suspect it works fiune as the depth is the same and the ears that ride on the clutch fork arethe exact same distance from the front of the bearing. This is out of a 1988 4runner, but should apply to the trucks as well ranging from 1984 to 1992.
