Bere Street, Londen SE1

This is the end of Bere Street, a very short street in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. The block of houses on Bere Street and Cranford Street (the houses that are actually not visible on this photo...) is also known as the Cranford Cottages.

- This little street is Angel Alley of London Borough of Tower Hamlets as seen on the street sign. It's very narrow and dark at parts just like a tunnel and is a strange sight for London streets. Apparently, it has interesting history and was used as a street linked to prostitution.

One of Londons iconic landmarks, Tower bridge, capture from Southwark Bank.

Original design by James Wild, 1872. Grade II* listed for very special significance as one of the earliest surviving examples of a pre-fabricated iron-frame structure. Bethnal Green, London Borough of Tower Hamlets.

11 and 11½ Fournier Street, Spitalfields, London, E1

When this building was split back to it's original two around the late 1990's, these novel addresses were adopted as the Victorian street re-numbering had allocated 9 and 13 either side. So unfortunately nothing amusing as to do with 13 being unlucky!

St Matthew's Church, Bethnal Green, London E2.

St Matthew's was consecrated in 1746 to administer to the burgeoning population of Bethnal Green, which until the 1700s had been a rural village outside London's City Walls. Badly damaged by an incendiary bomb in 1940 which left the Church a roofless shell, the church was rebuilt after the Second World War and was re-consecrated on 15th July 1961.
