Zu all den Spielereien passt auch noch dieses HDR-Bild vom Klever Tor! (Ob es schön ist, darüber kann man streiten.)
The Tor is the first place I visited in Glastonbury after my trip to Uffington. This sacred hill has many legends and myths attached to it. St. Michael's Tower is what is left of the 2nd church built there - destroyed by an earthquake. According to legend, this is the isle of Avalon, previously surrounded by water. It's been a place of ritual and pilgrimage for thousands of years for Pagans and Christians alike. In the channeled book "Anna - grandmother of Jesus" that I'm reading, Yeshua went there with his uncle Joseph of Arimethea (a frequent visitor and druid) for one of his many initiations.
As for me, I walked up that first late afternoon to connect to the sky and the distant scenery. I was back for a sunrise ceremony during the Goddess Conference with the priestesses of Freyja and then was blessed with seeing it alight with the sunset fires while sitting in contemplation at the Chalice Well Gardens. In the last 2 photos, you'll see the tiny tower the next morning from the same contemplation spot as the sun rose hot in the heavens.
