Stakkar Tor Divel har en liten skade på ryggskjoldet kan jeg se. Han ville ikke sitte i ro, så han var ikke så enkel å få bilde av, men det gikk da til slutt :)

Glastonbury Tor is a hill at Glastonbury, Somerset, England, which features the roofless St. Michael's Tower. Previously called Ynys yr Afalon (meaning "The Isle of Avalon") by the Britons, and it is believed by some to be the Avalon of Arthurian legend.

I'm shooting a wedding in Tors Cove next month, and any money I make doing that will go towards one of these: www.dpreview.com/news/0906/09061601olympusep1.asp
I've been waiting it seems like forever for this camera to be announced. It will be mine...Oh yes, it will be mine...God willing they'll make them available more expediently than they announced the damn things...
Down with optical viewfinders and other vestigial non-electronic components. You don't need a mirror in a camera...you need HD video capture with proper sound. Finally, a digital camera that is really digital, but is also really a camera. You can actually buy a little viewfinder to bolt onto the hotshoe if you want to make certain that everybody who sees you knows you're really old and haven't yet come to grips with screen technology. I'll compose my pictures the proper way with this little beauty, on the LCD screen!
Unfortunately, the early word is that the contrast-detect AF is not as fast as on Panasonic's GH1, but that camera is bigger, has an "optical" (electronic) viewfinder that you can't detach and throw in the sea, and is still not available anywhere that I'm able to find. Anyway, the Olympus was just announced, and the Panasonic was announced ages ago and is still not available, so there is still time this summer for other companies (come on Samsung...not to mention why isn't Sony on this bandwagon yet? - UPDATE - Sony IS on this bandwagon...just wait) to announce competing mini-cameras with real sensors before everybody can actually start buying them...by the zillions.
One thing is certain today though, and that is that my long legacy of always having Canon point and shoots in my pocket is coming to a close. And the D40x I took this photo with will probably become a casualty of my mission to get 900 dollars to buy that Olympus. Yeah, I'm selling the D40x because it doesn't fit in my purse easily enough.

Mam Tor face.. Can you see some silly sheep?
We took Bernd & Klara out to lunch at Castleton - yum! And then for a bit of a march up the ridge of Mam Tor. Not right to the top, didn't have enough time as we had to get them back for their train..

Berlin [1] is the capital city of Germany and one of the 16 states (Länder) of the Federal Republic of Germany. Berlin is the largest city in Germany and has a population of 4.5 million within its metropolitan area and 3.4 million from 190 countries within the city limits. Berlin is best known for its historical associations as the German capital, internationalism and tolerance, lively nightlife, its many cafes, clubs, and bars, street art, and numerous museums, palaces, and other sites of historic interest. Berlin's architecture is quite varied. Although badly damaged in the final years of World War II and broken apart during the Cold War, Berlin has reconstructed itself greatly, especially with the reunification push after the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989. It is now possible to see representatives of many different historic periods in a short time within the city center, from a few surviving medieval buildings near Alexanderplatz, to the ultramodern glass and steel structures in Potsdamer Platz. Because of its tumultuous history, Berlin remains a city with many distinctive neighborhoods

The Brandenburger Tor is a monumental gate built in the 18th century as a symbol of peace. During the Cold War, when the gate was located right near the border between East and West Berlin, it became a symbol of a divided city.
The Tor is the first place I visited in Glastonbury after my trip to Uffington. This sacred hill has many legends and myths attached to it. St. Michael's Tower is what is left of the 2nd church built there - destroyed by an earthquake. According to legend, this is the isle of Avalon, previously surrounded by water. It's been a place of ritual and pilgrimage for thousands of years for Pagans and Christians alike. In the channeled book "Anna - grandmother of Jesus" that I'm reading, Yeshua went there with his uncle Joseph of Arimethea (a frequent visitor and druid) for one of his many initiations.
As for me, I walked up that first late afternoon to connect to the sky and the distant scenery. I was back for a sunrise ceremony during the Goddess Conference with the priestesses of Freyja and then was blessed with seeing it alight with the sunset fires while sitting in contemplation at the Chalice Well Gardens. In the last 2 photos, you'll see the tiny tower the next morning from the same contemplation spot as the sun rose hot in the heavens.
