A limited edition project catalogue will be available for sale and to order.
The catalogue includes artists’ profiles and an essay by the Brazilian journalist, art critic and curator Juliana Monachesi.
The exhibition will run until 14th April at 16mm Café will also include still photographs taken from the videos.
Curated by Alicia Bastos & Alicia Felberbaum.
Exquisite Corpse volume 2 will be exhibit later 2010.

ECVP v1 is an international video collaboration project where 37 artists, including myself, from 16 countries around the world have created 9 videos in a total running time of 82 minutes.
The film has been created by group of individual and successful artists, many of who have not met previously, responding to an invitation by Kika Nicolela, an
award-winning filmmaker from Sao Paulo, Brazil. Nicolela facilitated the project through the international social networking site for artists, curators and art critics on
Art review.com following discussions at Video Artists Forum.
The project was inspired by the classic Surrealists' drawing method of the same name, Cadavre Exquis, in which a paper is folded so that each contributor sees only a small portion of the preceding artist's work. The ECVP participants created minute-long video art segments in response to the final ten seconds of the previous filmmaker's work. Each participant was then asked to incorporate these seconds into their piece, creating transitions as they pleased, until everyone's vision was threaded together into a final "corpse". In this global experiment, artists have created and enriched the final production with their unique personal style and input, following each others prompt as a source of inspiration.
While working in collaboration, the ECVP group is in search for new modes of expression in the development of video art, building a new concept through utilizing the characteristics of participatory platforms and new communication technology. ECVP Volume 1 has been screened in festivals and galleries throughout the world,
including Brazil, Sweden, Germany, Greece, South Africa, Canada, Mexico, and the US.

Todavía creía estar soñando, estaba tan fascinada en su primer año que tan solo deseaba aprender todo lo relacionado con ese mundo desconocido para ella hasta el año pasado.

These photos were taken back in 2014. We were on a river boat cruise in southern France & as we cruised into Lyon, we passed 2 amazing colourful cube buildings, with circular openings... like 2 eyes.

Yes, I realise this topic has already been talked over many times on our humble photo gallery. This time however, we have another big developement in front of us.
The famous Polish ban on photography had not really been in power, no matter what any person said. You were fully permitted to photograph anything you want, as long as you were on public grounds, which is a reasonable idea. All is to change now though.
My first post in this "no photo" topic has been published on 6.02.2024, when the Polish Ministry of National Defence published a draft of the ordinance containing the description of a "Photography forbidden" sign, along with many other things. This ordinance is what is required for the photo ban to be implemented in practice, as per a law published all the way back in 2022. The draft remained all that, just a draft, up until... this very day, 3.04.2025. It is now a full-blown ordinance of the allmighty Minister himself.
The published version can be seen on the official government service Dziennik Ustaw - dziennikustaw.gov.pl/DU
The ordinance itself, numbered 432 can be seen here - dziennikustaw.gov.pl/DU/2025/432 - contains a PDF file with the ordinance and a graphical display of the sign.
From now on, any person responsible for the security of an object of critical infrastructure (whatever that means...) will be able to hang out these legal signs and there is nothing the poor citizen can do about this, even when standing on public grounds.
*The ordinance comes into effect 14 days after its publishing, you have time until the 17th of April. For real now.*

Jardín (English: Garden), is a town and municipality in Antioquia, Colombia. Jardín is identified by its preserved colonial architecture, lush vegetation, and abundant rivers and streams.
Legend says that when the founders came to the Alto de las Flores ("Flower hilltop"), from the sietecueros village, they saw the valley that is today Jardín. At the time, it was entirely a jungle, full of white snakewood and crossed by two riachuelos. On seeing the beauty of the area, the settlers began to call it a garden.
Unlike some other municipalities of Antioquia, Jardín has remained largely unchanged for the last 140 years. The colonial architecture predominant throughout the area is characterized by whitewashed buildings with brightly painted doors, balconies, and cowhide chairs. Several of the chairs are hand-painted with scenes and landscapes from the local culture.

Overlooking the main square in Uzupis is the famous sight of the angel.
Back in the 1970's a group of artists setup Uzupis as an independent state, separate from Lithuania. Although not recognised internationally, it was recognised by the Lithuanian government, and although more of a tourist attraction now, their original sentiment pervades.

A beautiful portrait of my beautiful partner in life and crime, Niqui, proudly sporting her new hat, as we slowly make our way around the headland of Kanapitsa on Skiathos.
Clearly, a pistol primer doesn't make for a very pretty picture, but today's Macro Monday topic is Begins with the letter P, and the tiniest P-thing thing I could find to make a macro out of was this pistol primer, which is so small, six of them would fit on the nail of my little finger. This is the back of a primer, which faces into the cartridge case, towards the powder charge, and when the cap is struck by a firing pin, it crushes the anvil, which you see here, sending hot gases into the powder charge, which makes the gun go boom.
I have hundreds of these primers left over from the days when I used to reload my ammunition. Back in those day, my favorite pastime was competing in shooting matches, mainly rifle matches (Several decades ago, I was on both the United States International Rifle Team and the Marine Corps Rifle Team), but also skeet and, to a lesser extent, pistol matches, and I was doing so much shooting, I had no choice but to hand load my own ammunition because store-bought ammo was much too expensive. Also, I could hand load more accurate ammo than I could buy commercially. This is a common practice among avid shooters, who fire hundreds of rounds in practice for every one they fire in competition. Of course, the media would likely label us as crazy NRA type gun nuts (I've been a member of the NRA since 1949), even though most of the competitors I shot with never even went hunting and were certainly no threat to other humans. It's a real shame that a few crazies have been able to give a bad name to a sport that so many millions of us so peacefully enjoy, just because the sport involves guns.

The highlight of my visit to the newly reopened Gatwick Aviation Museum was being shown around an RAF Avro Shackleton by Squadron Leader Mike Rankin who first flew in one of these aircraft in 1958.
Over the years he worked for RAF Coastal Comand, he flew in Shackletons to Cyprus and Christmas Island as well as patrolling the seas in an anti submarine capacity.
A very interesting man.
