Being that Raven Seo Tools was a platnum sponsor of the event. They had a chance to show the SEO Crowd some new toys that allow us to organize our tool around our projects. This is one of the most powerful tools I have worked with for years now.

The eleventh @dailyshoot assignment was about Thanksgiving. We don't celebrate the day in Europe, but we had the yearly company Christmas dinner yesterday evening. I had my camera there with me and planned to take some shots of all the great colleagues that I'm thankful to work with. However, in the end I rather spent the evening chatting and socializing than fiddling with my camera. I still wanted to shoot something that I'm thankful for, and one very important thing for me are all the tools that enable me to stay in contact with my beautiful fiancée and our lovely cats even when we are separated by a thousand miles.
With the coolest tool ever (and some McGyver lengthing) from Home Depot.
It's an 11' extendable pole with threads on one end. You screw on some plastic clips that you push against the wood and it clips on. Then you unscrew it. Rinse and Repeat. To go around the house took about 30 minutes.

Not surprisingly, this is where the Spark really falls on its face. A day's worth of tools pretty much fills the trunk. I usually carry a fuel can, booster cables, some spare parts and a dedicated tool kit when I travel; this thing uses a road assistance plan! The back seats do fold down independently and ya can reach the trunk from the driver's seat!
Putty knife: This particular tool is a flat knife that is about two to six inches in length and is used to apply joint compound or any other coating to the drywall repair area and is also used to add finishing touches such as smoothing down the patched area.
Some of my favorite tools are knitting tools. These are some that I dressed up in needle felting samples.

Various Pics of my tools for the garage. The stand that the vice is on is actually for a bench grinder. The vice was there just to show. It is made out of a old steel rim, 4.5" steel pipe I found, and a old rear brake rotor.
I spent an embarrassing amount of time in my shop last night grinding tools from scrap steel in an effort to use my lathe as a shaper. None of them worked well. The lighbulb came on today (it must have been on a dimmer) and it struck me that a set of parallels might work.

There's been lots of work happening at Royal Troon Golf Course ~ appears to have been a refurbishment of the drainage system with heavy equipment digging out trenches and loads of piping being placed within!

Assignment: PCA07 - Tools
Mission:
This is a one and on-half week assignment. The goal is to celebrate tools. Tools and their use are arguably the basis of life as we know it. Almost every object in our lives is a tool; everything from a hammer or kitchen knife to a camera, computer or bulldozer. For this assignment, pretty much everything from a still life of a hammer or knife to a dump truck or the space shuttle is acceptable. Tools in use are fine and in context great; but the tool must be prominent and obvious. As always, wall grade art is what we strive for.
I'm hoping that you will pick a tool(s) that makes an obvious difference in your life or else which portrays a concept that is important to you. If you are a carpenter, hammers, saws and such are important. If you are a cook, knives, pots, stoves, etc. are important. If you are a programmer, I don't know how to take a picture of your editor. If you are a photographer, clearly the camera is iconic. I'm hopeful that we do not end up with 50 pictures of cameras. Anyway, you get the picture (pun intended.)
WIT
A dark room, a flash light and my grandmothers watch. Again I used the book I got for my birthday last week. I had so much fun with it. I took out all kinds of tools. Displayed them on the table made the room totally dark opened the lens and shine some light with my flashlight. This one came out best I think. I choose to cut the bottom reflection out of the picture. It wasn't a good one.
