The idea of a tool the size of a small cheese pizza being called a "Micrometer" just rankles my sense of logic, that's all.
Nifty box, come to think of it. I should have asked how much he wanted for these. Looks to be just the thing to carry a document with a sense of ceremony about it, like the terms of a bar bet or your top-secret Academy Awards predictions.

Building on the five-year vision of Addressing Europe’s Unfinished Business, Tools For Changemakers strengthens its training component while embarking on a three-year journey of exploration of the link between personal and collective identities in Europe, the rise of populism and nationalism in different European regions, the need to belong for old and new community members, unaddressed collective traumas, and the urgency to work with these issues in order to build more trust and cohesion in Europe.

Caulking Tools at the Maine Maritime Museum - Bath, ME 20-Aug-07
Traditional caulking (also spelled calking) on wooden vessels uses fibers of cotton, and oakum, which consists of pieces of hemp fiber soaked in pine tar. These fibers are driven into the wedge shaped seam between planks with a caulking mallet and a chisel-like device called a caulking iron. The caulking is then covered over with a putty in the case of hull seams, or in deck seams with melted pine pitch in a process referred to as paying.
I finally finished my tool cabinet. It's my first project *mostly* done with handtools. It's not perfect, but I learned several lessons, so that makes it all okay.
Now, I still have to add some loops for attaching to the bike seat. After that, I will wash it (you can still see some chalk marks) and then I will waterproof it. Can't wait!

The 4x5 insert is now film holder-ready. I've routed rebates for the holder and light traps. Everything fits!
This is a Bosch GSB 14,2-2-LI cordless drill from their 'Professional' range.
Which is just as well as I loathe using cheap or inferior tools.

The Li-Ion battery recharges very quickly and doesn't suffer from the same memory effect as Ni-Cad batteries. The chuck is an Auto Lock type, meaning the drill spindle is automatically locked when the tool is at standstill, then you turn the chuck with one hand to lock and unlock - no two handed 'chinese burn' actions needed with this drill!

The drill is sitting on a high visibility orange tough PVC bag made by ICF Grimsby. Originally designed for carrying newspapers in, but makes a ideal bag for carrying tools and equipment in.
This is from South Metro Fire's extrication day for us emt-b's in training. Wow!
P.S. - Too lazy to put my watermark on all of these....you steal, I sue. Thanks!
I have never used this tool, but I believe it's used where a great deal of tension is intended, such as a wire "hose clamp".
This was a gift from Bigfooter Roger Knights.
