This setup consists of a HD-S (high speed green) phosphor screen, and a 90kV, 15 milliamp real X-ray tube with a 1.5 amp 12 volt hot cathode.
I took the photo running the tube at 60kV and around 2 milliamps.
The exposure took 30 seconds, and the green phosphor shadow was post-processed to turn it into the more recognisable negative cyan X-ray transparency.
I use an old 20D camera because X-rays DO in fact damage CCD's as I found an increasing number of hot pixels on my new camera when I first started making X-ray images.
I wasn't really planning to finish this design in a day, or even a half day. But it's done, and I like it quite a bit.
The shot of the box interior shows all the tools I used I build the box: a small hammer, some pin nails, a plane, a triangle/set square, a Japanese-style saw, a coping saw, an exacto knife... And a pencil.
The photos on Tumblr helped too. A lot.
This is the custom trade show toolbox I made out of ½ inch plywood recycled from the fail crates from 2019. It has a French cleat at the back with which it is attached to the gun cart for hand transport between my rental car and the exhibit hall.

The reason this toolbox is green is due to the fact that it was for a garden show. The customer needed to keep all their bits and bobs secure overnight whilst they were down at the Olympia in London plying their wares.
My friend Beth was astounded that I have a "tackle box" for my decorating supplies. The top piece comes off and underneath are my pastry bags and larger tips. Pay no mind to my meds in the background there, eh?
It helped that I put together this third board with the other two; that made the nailing easier both for the base-to-wall operation, and for the base-and-wall-to-end-wall operation.

Assignment: The Rainbow - Take a shot full of vivid colors. At a minimum, we must be able to clearly identify at least three of the following colors in the photo: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple. (tag with cwd41)
A Toolbox of cupcakes I made for my Grandpa who is a great woodworker. It includes an assortment of tools that include: Screwdrivers (both flat and philips), Hamers, Saws, Pliers, Tape Measures, and a Drill.
The door handle that came with the side cabinet was lame. The dealer that sold me the cabinet gave me the wrench for free when I was tossing around an idea to use a hand tool for a handle. I tig welded two bolts to the wrench, used air brake plastic tubing and a bit polished aluminum to trim it out. Way better.

Tom's 7th birthday present - a toolbox full of stationery supplies. Hopefully now the sticky tape and stapler won't disappear from my studio!
