Quem passa lá por casa, conhece a fascinação.
E vem desde muito, tanto uma como a outra.
Aqui, convivem pacificamente, as corujas voando em meio aos livros.

My own Quenya transcription and illustration to go with JRR Tolkien's Elvish hymn to Varda:
A Elbereth Gilthoniel
O Elbereth Starkindler,
silivren penna míriel
white-glittering, slanting down sparkling like a jewel,
o menel aglar elenath!
the glory of the starry host!
Na-chaered palan-díriel
Having gazed far away
o galadhremmin ennorath,
from the tree-woven lands of Middle-earth,
Fanuilos, le linnathon
to thee, Everwhite, I will sing,
nef aear, sí nef aearon!
on this side of the Sea, here on this side of the Ocean!
Inspired by the artwork in the books, the aesthetics of the movies, and the Art Nouveau style of illustration.

J. R. R. Tolkien lived within 300 yards of Sarehole Mill between the ages four and eight, and would have seen it from his house. He has also said that he used the mill as a location for the setting of The Shire in The Lord of the Rings. This site has been a water mill since 1542.

The Tale of Beren and Lúthien is the story of the love and adventures of the mortal Man Beren and the immortal Elf-maiden Lúthien, as told in several works of J. R. R. Tolkien. In this painting, Lúthien and Huan, Hound of Valinor wait for Beren to wake after healing the poisoned wound Carcharoth the werewolf left him when biting off his hand. The Great eagles placed the spent couple on the edge of Doriath looking north past Gondolin, over Sauron’s Isle, which Luthien destroyed and left in ruin.
"And at the last the eagles set them down upon the borders of Doriath; and... Huan came to her, and together they tended Beren, even as before when she healed him of the wound that Curufin gave to him. But this wound was fell and poisonous. Long Beren lay, and his spirit wandered upon the dark borders of death,
knowing every an anguish that pursued him from dream to dream." chapter 19, The Silmarillion
