A male Orange Tip was fluttering around the front garden this afternoon. I have rarely managed to get this close to these timid creatures. It sat obligingly while I blasted away with the camera. It is certainly late out, having survived a prolonged winter.

Just a quick watercolor sketch of a tree that is closest to me when I look out the window.
It has been I don't know how long since I've pulled out my water colors or paints in general, so I'm glad to have the extra motivation to get painting again.
