This was taken back when the MGM Grand in Las Vegas had more of a Wizard of Oz theme. This Tin Man was in the MGM Grand Store. It has not been there for a while.

Carved by artist James Phillips from a 90 year old live oak killed by Hurricane Ike. The carvings honor King Wallis Vidor(1894-1982). one ofthe directors of the Wizard of Oz who was born in this house.

The Tinman had such a big heart and didn't know it. He along with the Scarecrow and the Lion always went that extra mile to make sure Dorothy was safe and taken care of.

I always loved that sense of charm he brought to the movie. This doll was an easy find, being Walmart seemed to have an endless supply of him, but one was enough. I should've got another because with certain dolls I like to have one in box and one to play with or display!! Never know what the future holds, lol.
