He was all spray-painted silver and mostly held still like a statue. He was performing in front of Water Tower Place (a big shopping plaza). If you put money in his bucket he would move a little bit and make creaking noises, like he was the Tin Man.

I love this man! Making a masking-tape notching system on the vertical-adjustment wheel, to track pressure changes.

I used to dab spots of pink nailpolish on my little flathead screwdrivers that I'd use to back in/out fuel mixture screws, on bike carbs, for the same reason.
