The photographer. (I was alone and using the timer function on my camera.) I truly do remember that moment. Nearly 26 years ago.

The sky was doing some awesome things but I couldn't really get a decent shot through the dirty windows.
Here is another shot from my session with this lovely and very independent lady.
She lives in a modest bachelorette sized apartment which is where I photographed her right in San Pedro town. When we arrived she was having a little rest, but didn't seem to mind our intrusion.
Her family members bring her meals each day and someone stays with her overnight on the extra twin bed in her room. There will be a little celebration with cake on the 9th to celebrate her 99 years strong.

The first timer on the left was the tiny game timer used during the first few years of field testing Synapse. It was sent to me by a contractor that worked with DeLano company in MI. DeLano is a printing company that has developed a business with game companiess. Originally, I thought I was going to be working with them to produce the game. I always knew that the small timer just wouldn't work for the game I had in mind. When I connected with Leisure, I found other contacts to make the game. Second from the left is the clay model, followed by the electronic unit which was just a "works like" model. When all the corrections were made, the prototype timer at the right was produced.

From Mickey at Win OT Facebook - "FIRST ACROSS THE LINE IN THE RACE TO PRE-REGISTER: Bob and Judy Moore are first to cross the line in this year's Winchester Speedway Old Timers Reunion pre-registration. The Moores have supported the WOT for many years so it is not surprising that the postman brought their registration form to us first. The Moores will be showing their 1933 "big car" built by Californian Ray McDowell for customer Johnstone-Pritchard Speed Shop in Patterson, New Jersey. The car was delivered to the customer in the Spring of 1934 and thereafter campaigned on the East Coast in AAA-sanctioned events with drivers like Bob Sall, Ed Staneck, and Ted Horn. The car was later purchased by B.R.Rasor of Glendale, California and eventually returned to the West Coast where it was piloted by drivers Chris Vest, Red Clark, Louie Tomei, and others. The engine in this car is a rare 16 valve, dual-overhead camshaft, McDowell head on a Model B Ford block with dual Winfield up-draft carburetors. The body is all hand-formed aluminum. This fabulous car will be on display in the infield at Winchester Speedway during the Old Timers Reunion July 4-5-6 this year

Since my new camera has a timer I don't yet know how to change (learning curves are extra exciting when you're clueless!) I can set the camera down and point it in my general direction and press a button and wonder what the heck is going to happen! So far nothing extraordinary has happened (obviously) ... but I'm super psyched to finally have my hands OFF the camera! Hurray for new tricks! I mean techniques. So, here's me hard at work in my office WITHOUT TOUCHING THE CAMERA. Woo hoo! Today after I finished pouring candles and packing orders I printed catalogs and filled a bunch of wholesale inquiries. I'm astonished at how productive I was today. Yay me!
