Unique timer for the game Wallamoppi

Begin as you want to go on, right? After a period of sloth, I spent most of last summer getting myself back to my fighting weight, strengthening my body. It is way too easy for me (and I know I'm not alone) to curl up in the winter with knitting, a movie, a book...whatever, instead of moving and keeping up the momentum of striving for strength.

While I'm loathe to make a "resolution" for better fitness in 2011, I am willing to share my intention of biking longer rides this summer. To prepare, I'm aiming to ride our trainer 3-5 times per week for 30 minutes. Anything else I do to maintain and build strength is good, too, but today it is all about preparing for time on Trixie this summer.

The timer used to monitor everything. Not sure why I took a picture of it.

ten seconds to balance the camera on the driftwood, press shoot, scramble over the fort, hop over the wall, and look pretty.

heh. Found this on my desktop. It's the circuit we built using a 555 timer. The thrmal resistr varied based on the temperature. This is the model of it in Pspice.

Sometimes, it's not easy to find willing models so I used a tripod and the camera's self timer for this one...I think I'm looking good. I particularly like the buldge!
