Os meus TIMELESS são de Verão. Estiveram comigo nos dias mais quentes e nas noites mais intermináveis.
Pisaram comigo a areia fria matinal e a areia quente ao pôr-do-sol. Transpiram personalidade. Sensualidade.
Contam histórias: são TIMELESS!

Timeless Echoes
The Highlights of a Decade Long Musical Journey
Presented By: The Old Joes Choir
30th and 31st of August 2008 at The British School Auditorium
It has been ten years, and The Old Joes Choir has come a long way, evolving musically, and as an entity that continues to enthral its public. A decade of dabbling, experimenting and extending the boundaries and limits of sound and music has stood in good stead, enabling a group of talented and committed individuals hone and perfect something they were already good at.
It was in 1997 that The Old Joes Choir embarked upon their musical journey; a voyage that has augured well and ushered in positive change, along with a loyal audience, fans of choral music, who have stood by them through the last ten years of evolution. Thus, it is only right that The Old Joes Choir pay tribute to their loyal, unwavering fans, and their decade old journey, through a musical celebration of the last ten years.
You are welcomed to witness a unique event, involving diversity in sound and style, in celebration of a ten year old journey, as The Old Joes Choir embarks upon a voyage of rediscovery; an expedition that will strike at the very core of their musical soul. Sit back, relax, and prepare to be enthralled, as they go back to their roots to present you with our Timeless Echoes.

"It's weird when people express their love in a different way, you can't seem to understand but it's just that way. It's seldom happens, timeless."
My favorite spot of the place. I just spent 5-10 minutes shooting long exposure as my friends want to the twin lakes above. Sadly, there's nothing better view on top of this small lake which express beauty and serenity at it's best.

Jackson, MS. Photograph no. 1 from the "Timeless?" documentary series.
Ilford Hp5 ASA 400 film, Nikon F601
There are 5 photographs in the series, each depicting decay on everyday objects and nature. Every shot is taken from close up with the idea that decay is something that's real and inescapable Each photograph captures this process of decay and preserves that "timeless" moment while undergoing the same process at the same time.
by the way! i'm not going to be able to post the rest of the series up.. i didn't have time to scan them before i mount them on the mattboard. what a shame.

As this late spring finally starts to show hints of sustained warmth I'm reminded of summer days at the lake. I took this photo in early one morning in 2009 when forest fires were rampant in the Thomson-Nicola region of BC. A thick smoke settled in the lake depression for several days that only allowed bright colours to emerge at dawn and at dusk.
The disrupted tree line is a legacy of the 2003 McLure fire which took our previous cabin. A fire which the raft survived!

i had the pleasure to spend time in the company of heidi last evening. heidi hosted a salon and seven or so of us gatherd in berkeley to discuss thinking.
i struggled with the notion that it might perhaps be a healthier practice to think with our hearts instead of our minds. frankly, i think the world is probably a bit better off with me forethinking.

I had other ideas for this subject but ran out of time (get it, time vs. timeless … ha ha ha!). Anywho, I've been watching this tree slowly deteriorate for about the last 10 years. The top half of it snapped off during a bad storm (it could have been hurricane Isabel, can’t remember). I don’t think it’ll be around in another 10 years.
Take a Class with Dave and Dave: Timeless - take a photo that could have been taken at any point in the history of time, including all the way back to when the dinosaurs roamed the land.
