We live a small coastal town. This painted mural adorns the side of a building in the historic downtown district. It's a beautiful place to see and we so enjoy living in this NC colonial capital. What struck me after seeing these photos...how utterly timeless Splash looks. He could just as easily been strolling down the boardwalk in this 18th century scene, with the woman carrying her parasol. These little poodles have delighted admirers for eras. How divine!

A canal reflects the timeless beauty of Venice, Italy.
Some cities just lend themselves for a passionate love affair with a photographer and Venice is way up on that list....
This image took me a bit by surprise -- as too how well it turned out. Exposure, composition, and focus is perfect. And not having the vision of being able to predict it, caught me also. That's one of the aspects of film - a week after you get the roll developed, there are surpirses - mostly good.
I also didn't mention - this is a timeless image - it could have been shot in 1954 for that matter.

I always work on photos to put up on flickr.. and I usually forget I haven't put up any yet! So here's this one. :)
An almost timeless portrait of a shepherd and his flock as they walk through the rain alongside one of wonderful tree lined canals that cut through the landscape near Damme, Belgium.
It's rare to see a shepherd here. I managed to make this image of him as he strode along to catch up with his flock after a brief chat with us. Besides the thrill of capturing a rare sight, I really like the strong receding perspective emphasised by the rows of trees on both sides of the canal.

captured on kurfürstendamm in berlin, this photo features an elegant elderly woman examining the storefront of the luxury brand "liebeskind." her sophisticated attire, complete with a stylish hat and floral jacket, complements the upscale ambiance of the setting. the juxtaposition of her timeless grace against the modern retail environment creates a striking visual narrative, highlighting the intersection of tradition and contemporary fashion.

had a great day of shooting today at the Cheney Mansion in Oak Park during our bride and groom workshop/ shoot....always a pleasure to see and shoot with friends plus some amazing models to work with...in this frame, i used an 85mm 1.8 prime lens and set it to shoot in monochrome and for a different perspective, i went outside of the mansion and shot this portrait of the bride thru the glass window...i thought of bumping up the contrast a bit but decided at the last minute to just let this frame be, untouched....pls. The timeless beauty of Jökulsárgljúfur, north Iceland.
Jökulsárgljúfur is a colossal canyon created by the glacial river Jökulsá á Fjöllum.
The river rises beneath the Vatnajökull icecap and enters the sea at Öxarfjörður bay. From its source the river flows across a high plateau dotted with isolated palagonite peaks and scarred with lava flows. At the edge of the highlands the land drops and the river becomes more turbulent and forms several huge waterfalls, tumbling into the canyon which bears its name. The most impressive of them are Selfoss, Dettifoss, and Hafragilsfoss.
The Jökulsárgljúfur canyon is one of the largest and most impressive river canyon in Iceland. It is 25 km long, ½ km wide and in many places more than 100 metres deep. Jökulsárgljúfur is located in the palagonite belt of northern Iceland, in one of the most volcanically active areas in the country.

Sete Cidades, São Miguel, Azores, Portugal.
On the island of São Miguel, Azores, the harsh winter of 2010 filled the beds of streams and spectacularly rose the water levels of the lagoons. However, without any human intervention on the frame, striped of color and with a little help from Nik Software’s Silver Effects Pro, the shores of the fantastic Sete Cidades lake almost look timeless on this image.

Na ilha de São Miguel, Açores, o rigoroso Inverno de 2010 encheu os leitos das ribeiras e fez subir espectacularmente os nÃveis das lagoas. Contudo, sem qualquer intervenção humana no enquadramento, despida de cor e com uma pequena ajuda dos filtros do Silver Effects Pro, as margens da fantástica Lagoa das Sete Cidades quase parecem intemporais nesta imagem.
A timeless scene recreated today at the Great Central railway. GWR hall class No. 6990 Witherslack hall powers through Woodthorpe during a Timeline events photo charter. 6990 was always a Western region locomotive but she was chosen to haul trains along the Great central line in 1948 during the experimental locomotive exchanges. Note i have photoshopped this image slightly, the number 8 running number on the smoke box was a little dirty so i managed to brighten it up a little and i have also removed the modern road signs.
I love going along corridors because it feels like a timeless moment. Like everything stands by and then you go out, back to the normal life.
