A timeless classic, no not Jojo but this black dress with tiny polka-dots which has a timeless look and I'm sure I've seen things a bit like it in old black and white films. It might be timeless but it's obvious not ageless as it says on the label 'Twenty-One' and that suits me fine.
We have existed in this world for a long time, shaping it to our needs with the elements around us. Human intelligence has flourish with time, but it million of years of learning experience that has dawn upon us, that makes us what we are now.
We used stones, to carve our pots and tools, then came the metal age, its been slow and steady ride till we have created the artificiality of life surround us. We do what we are told to do, we use what they tell us to us, our own inner instinct and the connection with nature is long gone, using all those cosmetics, refreshments and other enjoyments of life which are not even made by us but rather some other country.
In these conditions, the urge to know the sense of timelessness wake up in the minds of searching souls. they want to be out of the ordinary, they want to travel in time, they are the lovers of the past, not the future. This may be the future with all the elements we have created do not seem to be the enchanting one.
There is a place where time can stand still for you, where the traditions still hold their importance and culture is flourishing. From the architecture to the daily life, everything has a sense of timeless for those who seek it. A place where once you enter you do not want to leave. Where people return your smiles back to you. Where they live in perfect peace and harmony. The place is Hunza Valley.
With all the mobile phones, Cable TVs, and outside words attempting to degrade the living style of these wonderful people, the culture & heritage of Hunza is striving to find its path into the 21st Century.

Take on the Theme of Long Exposure
I haven't done landscape shots in a long time. Admittedly because of laziness. I got to the Pier at about 6am (sunrise at 6:20). But i really should have gotten there at like 5:30 at least. To pick the spot and not feel rushed.
I took alot of similar shots, one of them With the sun's light beaming at just the right moment. But the reason why i went with this one is the mood. The timelessness of the moving water was the focus.
So here it is
(i got alittle too close to the shoreline and soaked my shoes, socks, pants and tripod with water.... Camera came out alright and dry though ^__^)
As if I enter the woods in Kafka on the Shore, time doesn't flow any more here. It's timeless everywhere.

Soft light and clean lines define the composition, while a solitary presence introduces a quiet sense of scale.
The timeless silhouette of the car remains the natural focal point.
Jules-Cyrille Cavé - The Rose
For an artist as prolific and accomplished as Jules-Cyrille Cavé, remarkably little is known of his biography. Born in Paris, by 1877 he had entered the Académie Julian joining the ranks of a generation of European and American artists influenced by its teachers, most notably William Bouguereau. After leaving the Académie it seems Cavé and Bougeureau remained close, as in the late 1880s the artist wrote to his daughter Henriette of attending a dinner in celebration of Cavé’s wedding (Damien Bartoli and Frederic C. Ross, William Bouguereau, His Life and Work, New York, 2014, p. 316). Though the artist won several medals at the Salon exhibiting religious and allegorical works in the Academic tradition, the hallmark of his production are compositions exemplified by The Rose and Girl with a Bouquet of Daises (lot 2). Unmistakably, Cavé’s paintings of models in sylvan settings holding just-picked flowers maintained a strong association in style, subject, and sensibility to the celebrated works of his teacher. Like Bouguereau’s, Cavé’s work eased the concerns of modern life allowing his models to represent the “simple” life of the country. There is a timelessness to Cavé's compositions, the smooth brushwork erases the presence of the painter and creates a balance between immobile, static form and rich surface details, textures, and color. At the same time the artist carefully models his figures (many recognizable from one composition to the next), detailing the rough-hewn cloth of their costume and their sun-kissed skin. As such, Cavé’s work celebrates the real and the idealized, connected yet apart from the daily life of the nineteenth century. A view of gathering blooms in pristine settings erases the demands of modern society, yet the carefully constructed canvas demonstrates that Cavé saw his work not as a flights of fancy but as a world he hoped to see: one made all the more possible by the great success such compositions brought him in the art marketplace. Through the early twentieth century Cavé’s work was collected well beyond his native France, and paintings could be found in collections through Europe, South America, and in prominent American collections, some placed by Arthur Tooth, the powerful dealer who represented Cavé and Bouguereau.

You can go back centuries and find a scene almost identical to this. It is a timeless tradition. Only the shoes change. Skipping stones into the river is surely one of the finest past-times we can ever experience. It's hard to find the words to describe how it feels sharing it with grandchildren. What is even more awesome is watching the 13 year old teach the 9 year old the proper technique.
This Stoop and Tile has been through it all. It is comforting to have little spots in our lives that are always there. Excelsior Springs, Missouri USA
I always liked the timeless look of a black and white photo, and when it's captured on film it gives me a certain nostalgia. It's fun to be back shooting film again.
Life for me is anything but timeless though. The kids are growing fast and the days fly by. Good to get out and hike and make memories while we can.

This shot was pointing to the Pacific Ocean in the sunrise time. Of course, the sunlight was blocked by heavy clouds that morning, and all I could see was the big wet sand all the way to the rocky area at the far end, a.k.a. the end of the land. The lack of any landmark here made me feel I was standing in the middle of timeless space. This is an interesting shot for me to take, and I kind of like the monochrome feel here! :-)

called Quest for Immortality - The World of Ancient Egypt in the National Museum of Singapore at the moment.
