Third timelapse with the GoPro Hero. This time Jake and I cowboyed up and mounted in on the hood of the car to catch the sunrise while driving through downtown. Although we mounted it on the hood, I rigged a safety leash from the mount to the wiper to give me some insurance.

I set the GoPro to take an image once every two seconds as we crused East bound to the downtown and then West to Memorial Park to catch the runners.

Noctilucent Clouds (NLC) Display over Edmonton, AB. Timelapse of 401 images (2.5 sec exposure per frame), rendered at 6 fps in 720 HD. 15-28mm Canon EOS (T3i) kit lens at f/5.6.

The display was about 35 degrees wide and about 7-8 degrees high. The "UFO" in the video is actually the Edmonton Police Helicopter (HAWKS). They always seem to appear in my photos. Guess it's time for me to leave the hood! =(

Shot from 11:39 PM to 12:41 AM... Gnite! Bed.. Finally! My sweet bed!

One shot I use in a timelapse movie I am working on right now...

taken from the window outside the united lounge in newark airport. filmed using a GoPro and processing done in Adobe Premiere.

Cloud timelapse over my workplace as done from the inside of my car. That unfortunate streak in the middle of the video is the dirt triangle on my wind shied (where the wind screen wipers aren't able to reach). Also, unfortunately the batteries for my camera ran out just as the sun started to set. Then in a fit of indecisiveness I turned the car around towards Wayville (where the clouds always seem to be more spectacular) and then changed my mind again when I saw how nice the sunset was. Wish I could have got more of the night time, but was already at work way too late!

Timelapse video of the night sky on 26-27 May 2013. Around 330 photos were taken at one minute intervals using a Canon EOS 1000D DSLR, then combined into a timelapse video using PhotoLapse.

A view from the top. Charging cables for capacitors and trigger cables are all there.

My very first time lapse. Shot with the GoPro Hero using the Suction Cup Mount placed on my car's windshield. I set it to capture an image once every ten seconds. Unfortunately, the battery went dead quicker than I thought -- I most likely didn't have it charged all the way.

I compiled the images in Premiere Pro CS5.5 and colorgraded it using RedGiant Colorista.

If you've done timelapse using the GoPro - please post any hints or tricks you've used and feel free to link your own videos here too.

The first timelapse I've done was just for testing the tools and learn how to do it. This view is from my balcony. The clouds were moving pretty fast yeasterday and I found it interesting. I hope I can do better ones in the near future :)
