A short timelapse proof of concept i did a few days ago with the D7k on tripod. Have to explore this further.
Compiled using: mencoder "mf://*.JPG" -mf fps=24 -o output-mbd1-vbitrate14400-vpass-gray-crop.avi -vf scale -vf crop=1280:800 -zoom -xy 1280 -ovc lavc -lavcopts vcodec=mpeg4:mbd=1:vbitrate=14400:threads=2:vpass=3:gray
Be sure to iterate vpass from 1 to 3 in n >= 3 runs if you use this command to your create your own video and change threads according to your cores.
A timelapse video made from stills taken from my Canon 60D. The foreground is a bit dark but i was shooting close to the sun without a filter - must use a filter next time
My first untethered timelapse using my new intervalometer. This was just a bit of fun to see how it worked while traveling to visit my mum on mothers day.
35 minute journey into 50 seconds (Bristol to Dursley). 763 images at 15 FPS at full HD res.
If you have problems viewing smoothly either allow to buffer first (by pressing pause) or click on the HD icon in the bottom right corner.

1576 one second exposures taken with a Canon PowerShot S2 running the CHDK firmware, movied at 20 frames per second with ffmpeg.
Another timelapse of a day in the life of a dog. And another dog!
(One frame every 90 seconds for about 4.5 hours. I worked at home in the morning and M came home early. To make this timelapse, I used CHDK, this script, and Picasa 3.)

I am hoping for some feedback from the community before I go any further. I still have hundreds of pics I can add from the original timelapse, but the stacking is killing me time wise. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
An old timelapse vid of Mike and Me at work processing x-rays of pipes, Geoff wanders in for a chin wag. Probably about half an hour in real time.

Processed in Photoshop from 700-odd jpegs taken on my point and shoot Panasonic, so not brilliant quality initially, and PS seems to have degraded it further.

Another star timelapse this time from way up North in Fife. Think I'm starting to get the hang of them now having finally settled on the best settings
This one has the constellation of Perseus at the center with the Andromeda Galaxy in the lower right hand corner. The Pleiades open cluster also appears from behind the trees on the left. For a better view see the still image here.
Tech Stuff:
234 frames @ 18mm f3.5 ISO800 for 25s each. Photoshop used to adjust colour temperature, curves and dark frame subtraction of camera noise. Video produced in VideoMach
