So I had a bunch of smoke photos and none of them made particular sense so I decided to make a time-lapse video using some of the photos. Lots of glitches and background clutter, I know. Might take it down after a while.

Implosion of the MD Anderson Cancer Center (MDACC) Houston Main Building on 01-08-12
Check out this timelapse video above made up of photos I took during the MDACC HMB Implosion on 1/8/12.
I also took a video with a small digital camera but the quality is not so great since I was handling two cameras at the same time and the window had a reflective layer on which didn’t help either. You can tell though that the building I was in was shaking like there was an earthquake: youtu.be/09iB7nfyhj8

30 minute timelapse @ 15fps, decimated to 1fps using VirtualDub, converted to M4V using Quicktime Pro
Took me a while to work out how to do this. Usually a timelapse startrail movie allows you to see the stars move across the sky as a dot. A timelapse startrail photograph allows you to see the startrail as a line. This style allows you to see the photograph build into a line and then disappear. This is my first attempt at this style of startrail timelapse movie. Short but sweet.

This is what happens when you remember to start your time lapse after you wake up in the middle of the night.
Breve storia astronomica:
A 40 minute timelapse from Crater Lake this afternoon, it's the first time I've been there and seen ANY clouds, never mind this many.
The second half of the video shows the difference in the colour of the water as the sunlight comes and goes.

Svona er útsýnið úr eldhúsglugganum hjá mér,
ætlaði að ná bæði sólsetrinu og sólarupprás en það verður að bíða betri tíma.
This is the view from my kitchen window, well allmost, I clamped my gopro camera on the roof of my
garage and it took timelapse over the night, from midnight to 4 in the morning.
I intended to catch the sunset and the sunrise because in midsummer here in Iceland
the sun goes just a little under the horizion and it never gets dark but as you can see it started to rain so
I will have to do an other one some day.

A thunderstorm in Ottawa that I did a timelapse of. I was trying to catch some lightning, I didn't get much, but it's there. Mostly the cloud motion that changes and plays around.
A simple timelapse video of moving clouds. I shot 100 photos with my Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM at f/18, ISO 100 in aperture priority mode (shutter speeds between 1/100 and 1/160) every 5 seconds to do this timelapse.
Premier essai de Timelapse avec Triggertrap.
Le temps est trop changeant aujourd'hui ce qui explique les différences de contraste.
A refaire
First video post, first timelapse attempt with the 50D.
Macbook pro sitting on the red sand of central Aus, running Canon EOS utility, hooked up via USB to the 50D, shooting every 5 seconds until we had to jump back on our mini bus and go. Assembled in "time lapse assembler" - free, and cool !
Needed an umbrella at one stage...
If you'd like to use the big high res version for something, just drop me a note...(it's for sale!)
(If it's a bit jumpy, you may need to play it again once it's loaded to your computer properly)
